  1. Nothing on OS at 20.00 !!
  2. I wasn't convinced about automatic promotion at the beginning of the season as I'm not convinced our midfield is as good as it needs to be and we did nothing to alter this pre-season. I still think we have a chance for top 6, but we need to get our act together.
  3. Feeling very confused and concerned. Was it that only with Markus' untimely passing that NC had the power to sack AP??? The timing of this doesn't feel good - this should have been done at the end of last season or at Christmas if we were not performing. The way things are it doesn't feel as if Pardew has been given a fair chance and enough time to prove he's the man for the job or not. As others have said, this feels like a Man City type of move, not a SFC action. I just hope the squad go out against Swindon and WIFM!!
  4. It made me laugh !
  5. I just hope you don't have the same haircut or is this par for the course when you're an archaeologist?
  6. Let's go the whole way and join Serie A - getting fed-up with lge 1 anyway !
  7. I'm not keen on pin badges but I would wear this one!
  8. Any chance of a picture of the WAGs ???
  9. That's your right. As i said my son enjoyed his time at the club.
  10. To answer the original question; i think it is a mixture of both kindness and guilt. I'm happy that he's done this, as he can afford it and it's a decent thing to do.
  11. My nipper used to go to their Sunday afternoon club and he really enjoyed. I agree that it's not for everyone but some people do enjoy it.
  12. Yes - this is good news
  13. Now it's down to 2 weeks: FC Thun on 13th and FC Sochaux on 17th. Unless, of course we don't want to give arun out to any of the first team at these fixtures. No panic, just a bit concerned that we don't have a decent RB, we could do cover for RL and, imo so more strength in midfield.
  14. I don't normally agree with many things Alpine posts but on this i think he raises a good point. Last season we used the excuse that we didn't have time to bed the team together in the pre-season for our poor start. Well our first pre-season friendly is on July 27th at Barnet. It would be reassuring to see some signings, let the team train together for a week before the first pre-season friendly. So not a lot of time left to get this sorted!
  15. Kevin Philips - aways scores against us and seems to enjoy it ! Dexter Blackstock - always scores against us and seems to enjoy it ! Harry Redcrap - everyone loves him and says what a great manager he is, but he was useless for us and couldn't wait to rush back to poopey when the lover's tiff was over....
  16. Not Harry Redcrap - too much suspicion about the way he does business for him to be considered for the England job. Sam Allardyce or Gareth Southgate, backing up a figure head Beckham.....
  17. Barnet have us, Watford, Peterborough, Arsenal and Charlton as thier pre-season friendlies - a pretty impressive line up!
  18. Same as PhilB and ESoulBoy - I go because I love live football, love the Saints and want to pass this passion onto my son (who is now hooked - but he's seen some real rubbish from Saints but also some memorable games - vs Sheff utd to stay up in the CCC, Poopey FA Cup and of course Wembley). Two other reasons: I would also say I love the atmosphere at the live game and you see a different game live than when you watch it on the box
  19. Spoke to Murty, very briefly, after the game yesterday. Asked how we was doing and he said his recovery was going well and he hoped to be fit soon - no indication of retirement, but then why would he tell me that. My point is that he was good when he played this season and, if he's fit, then he should be given another chance to challenge for RB.
  20. I saw a lady come and talk to Ted after the game !
  21. Yes, but Huddersfield also have good form. Still not sure they will drop enough points for us to sneak into the play-offs.
  22. I thought it was just me !
  23. What rankles most is that Poopey's first goal was the result of a slip and not because of fantastic play. Then the ref disallows a goal from Spuds. After those two events the whole game was ruined and the FA Cup's image tarnished (imo).
