I would like us to raise the flag at every home game, this should become a routine part of supporting the Saints at SMS.

Best & Worst pubs of 10/11 season?
red&white56 replied to saints_is_the_south's topic in Saints Away Supporters
There was the pub near Peterborough station - excellent pint of Mild, lovely atmosphere, brews it's own beer and not rammed when we arrived (mid you it was rammed when we went for beer before the trip home), the "trip to Jerusalem" in Nottingham - good beer. We also went to Charters just before we went tothe ground and it wasn't that rammed. It had a good selectino of beers and ciders - I'd definitely go back there. Didn't get time to go for a beer in Plymouth -
That sounds quite exciting, well at least to me........ But I still love the sash and would be very happy to keep it as the home kit

This would be a very positive addition, if true

Full marks to Brighton for doing this - living in Sussex I can vouch for both ales! If we did similar at SMS then I would start cosidering getting to the ground early for a beer rahter than ducking into a pub on my way.

I had the same thought - wrth a risk if his salary's not too high!

Exclusive! New signing from St. James Park to St Mary's....

Excuse me ! I'm in sales and we're not all like that - it's the marketing element that attracts the weird looks ! -
Great result, but it was hard to join in with the celebrations as we were sitting in with the Plymouth fans. Saints fans awesome - one really good slow rendition of OWTS, when the whole stand was singing in unison - it made my spine tingle. Only downside was the wind, I was frozen by the end of the game! BUT I'm so glad I went to this game!

Just got tickets - 4 of us in the home end

Brentford 0 - 3 Saints - Post Match Reaction
red&white56 replied to Saint_clark's topic in The Saints
Great result ! As we've known all along - win our games and we are up, win our games and we don't need to worry about anybody else. Well done Nigel and the boys - another tricky game out of the way - looking forward to Monday! -
From alresford is it better to drive or go on train to brentford?
red&white56 replied to Roger's topic in The Saints
Let the train take the strain (also that frees you up to have a beer in the sun before the game!) -
I think both Huddersfield and Saints will win today, then we'll lose at Plymouth but then we'll win against Walsall!

Great initiative - sorry but I have nothing to help the web-sit,e but i do have money to help the donations! -
I've always been impressed by him when I see him play for Saints, but as others have said Dickson has also looked a god prospect at LB - can we have both of them in the squad next season and keep them both happy - I'm not so sure

Saints V Hartlepool 2-0 Post Match Chat
red&white56 replied to SOTONS EAST SIDE's topic in The Saints
Did Kelvin save the near post header or did it just go voer the bar? I was stood in the Northam, but the angle was such that I couldn't see if he saved it or not ? -
Just imagine how our forum would have been if we had lost! A 22 game unbeaten record is pretty awesome, so if it is them in the play-offs they look a good bet!

Brighton V Saints 1-2 Post match Chat!
red&white56 replied to SOTONS EAST SIDE's topic in The Saints
This is a fantastic result - I had us down for a draw at best. Can't wait for Monday! -
Congratulations to Brighton. It does show that good players can become good managers........ Still remember Poyet's first game in charge, at SMS, when they turned us over and deservedly took the 3 points off us. It's been onwards and upwards for them since then. The Pardew debacle has hurt us this season, where Poyet had a full season to turn his team into champions (almost!). Managerial stability is required if we want to progress next season

Rochdale 2 - 0 Southampton - Post Match Reaction
red&white56 replied to Saint_clark's topic in The Saints
I'm not unhappy - was expecting to draw at both Orient and Rochdale, so we got 3 points out of these two games rather than the 2 I was expecting. We have no divine right to win even if we have more supporters than Rochdale and Orient put together and or a team that costs more than anyone else in League 1 - if this was the truth then there would be no point in playing games as the outcome of the league would be determined without kicking a ball! -
Great day out - I'm glad i didn't miss it !

Let's not forget yet another bicycle clearance from Jaidi. He was immense today (again). Close to being MOTM. For me Fonte took the honours. Dickson looks quality, glad to see him in the starting 11 after Tuesday night. Rickie and Lee are a great front line, surprised how often we lofted the ball to Barnie, who looked pretty small against their back four - I was also surprised that he won the ball on a few occassions. Biggest disappointment was the loose passing in mid-fiield which brought O pressure when there shouldn't have been any. The fans were fantastic today - singing continuously throughout the first half (and before the game) and then afterwards down the high street back to the tube. It was a bit quieter in the second half, I don't know about anyone esle but I couldn't get a drink at half time (crowd too big) and my voice didn't hold out too well in the second half, so I was saving what I had left for a goal or for full time. So glad I went - one for the memories!
