Super Whites ?? a la Leeds

HUDDERSFIELD: Oldham (H), Brentford (A), Walsall (H), Millwall (H), Stockport (A), Colchester (H), Exeter (A). Huddersfield's home record is good - can't see them slipping up except against Milwall - 9 pts. Stockport are down and out - 3 pts. A loss and a draw from Exeter and Walsall - 1 pt. That give them 78 pts........... We need to win all remaining games to get to 78 pts.......... BUT our GD will get us 6th place!!

Sometimes we just have to win ugly ! Looking forward to hearing from those who were at they game for their views.

Even the live thread on the BBC has packed up and gone home !

Has Wotton made a difference (positive or negative ?)
-
LO have just subsituted their substitute - injury ????
-
Yeah, but many of us who were at Wembley don't live in Southampton - there were plenty of Saints fans passing through Victoria heading off to their homes - but maybe as we're plastic fans they don't count us ?

Keep going - give us a second verse - this is OK !!

Saints 4-1 Carlisle - 2010 JPT Champions - Reaction
red&white56 replied to Block 5's topic in Golden Posts
What a great day! I told my son that this was just going to be a chance for all Saints fans to celebrate our survival and revival and it doesn't matter if we lose. We got an early train up from Sussex - people talking to us on the platform wishing us well (in Sussex - talking to strangers!!!) - arrived at Weatherspoons just before 10.00 to find hundreds of Saints fans queuing - great atmosphere in the pub. Wembley stadium - what a great stadium and Bobby Moore's statue brought a tear to my eye - a fitting tribute to a national footballing hero. We paid for Club Wembley seats - it was like being in a posh hotel - there were more staff than fans! And then we went outside to look at the Stadium - fantastic!! Our section had a mixture of fans but gradually the Saints fans got more vocal - but we couldn't hear what the bulk of the Saints fans were singing - we got COYR and the tail end of OWTS. When we were 4-0 at 63 mins I couldn't believe it - for the past few seasons I've been so used to Saints chasing the game or hanging on - it was brilliant!!! Watched the highlights and realised that we were awesome going forward - Lallana and Rickie were brilliant (not to say the others weren't). So despite the horrendous cost of the tickets I'm glad I was there and proud to be a Saints fan. -
Highlights on Sky Sports 8.30pm and BBC2 10.50pm

Same problem as you - but I'm desparate to see it again ! -
A great win today and when we scored the 4th it was 65 mins into the match. The defense was awesome and held Carlisle off - they played some pretty decent approach work but didn't have the ability to get past the Saints back 4. As a consequence Davies didn't have too much to do. I woted Jaidi my MoM, but Harding was excellent at RB, Mills had a good game at LB and Fonte was class. My one criticisim of Fonte was that several time, when under no or little pressure he head the ball straight back to Carlisle. Well played Saints !!

Hey steady on - that's insulting a shoe !

And what about yr socks???
-
No thanks, not my style, but I'm sure you'll look the part on the day - I'll stick to my Saints shirt !
-
It we're 2-0 up with 10 mins to play then I'll happily join in with "when I was just a little boy", but in '76 I don't remember singing any anit-poopey songs - mind you our song catalogue wasn't that impressive.......................
-
Just out of interest how did they get tickets? I guess they are not ST holders, so did they all come the MKD area final ???
-
I love this one !!!

I don't know about distracting the team but it's starting to distract me!! -
No, I paid to have them delivered - turnstiles open at 11.00 (so you can have a beer inside, first, I guess).
-
I'm in Block 206 - anybody else near here?
-
Who is going to wear their team shirt? I think I'm going to put a fleece over the top, get it and then show my colours. If we all do the same, will they try and chuck us all out ?

* Official * Wembley Seating Plan Thread
red&white56 replied to StuRomseySaint's topic in The Saints
I'm in block 206 - right next to the Carlisle fans - so i could either be ejected for wearing a Saints shirt or for abusing the Carlisle fans! -
I think most of the folks in Club Wembley will be Saints or neutral (I'm also in Club Wembley) - so theoretically wearing colours should be OK. But don't want to be chucked out so may wear a T-shirt underneath in case I have to take them off
