I think starting out with a defensive formation will be wise, they'll com eat us and try to win the game in the first half. Once we've contained them, we can then look to sneak a winning goal on the break. 1 -0 to the Saints !

I'm with you - at the beginning of the season (especially after the first 3 games) I would have taken a mid-table finish quite happily, but I've been converted to the view that the play-offs are possible.

I am enjoying it BUT I've only been to 4 games so far and I haven't seen Saints win yet; my last game was Brighton so my personal, live experience is pretty sh*t. However reading the match reports on here and seeing the goals on TV has been fantastic!

Kevin Davies has had a better career since he left Saints (eventhought we got £7+ million for him). I can never fathom out why we re-signed him and then never played him.

Exactly! When you're having a cr*p season, like Brighton are, then you have to hang onto anything that makes the season seems better than it really is. Also to be fair they played well in that game............

Let's assume we beat Rotherham / Luton in the 3rd round - then by the 4th round, end of January, we may well want a big day out ?? By that time it'll be a lot clearer if we have a chance to make the play-offs and wouldn't it be good to test ourselves against one of the higher placed teams to see how we're doing??

No easy win against Rotherham they are playing well - if they get through............

That's great form going into December - I think AP has done a great job of improving the defence and has built an excellent attack. Most importantly, and as others have said, his biggest contribution so far has been to develop a "winning mentality".
