  1. Now its 25% !
  2. Two from Haywards Heath - leaving early to avoid sitting in a traffic queue on the M27 with all the Poopey fans.
  3. My head says we will lose - after all they are a Premier club and we are a mid-table League one outfit. I can only hope that AP tells the boys what this means and gets them worked up for this game so they play above their normal level - then we have a chance. But tonight I'll dream about us winning 4-0 ! And the Skates all leaving 15 mins before the end as their team is so Sh*te...........
  4. It's all about protecting their own interests - if helping Pimply means their franchise remains valuable then they won't think twice about finding a way to do it and then justifying it ! That's the trouble - it's all about money and nothing else.....................
  5. What about the "Midanbury Mafia"? they were a top firm!
  6. I feel for you Halo, and do agree that the way the club has chosen to sell the Pompey tickets does disadvantage you. I got lucky - I usually buy tickets for my son and myself online, using my customer number. Yesterday I was told that I could only buy one ticket. My luck came in because my son had been in Junior Saints and was on their database, so i could get a ticket for him. I hope you can get one on Wednesday!!
  7. I hope we're not turning onto Chelsea - who only chant when they are 3-0 up, because anything less is a big disappointment to them ............
  8. I'll be there if I can get a ticket!
  9. Very level headed comments from Pards, very typical of him and I appreciate him even more for it!
  10. Everytime I see him play he looks solid - especially at RB.
  11. Beat the Skates gets my vote...............
  12. We are Southampton the pride of the South!!! We hate all the B******* who come from Portsmouth Now we have the chance to show them how much we like them!!
  13. I am so excited - but I'm now worried about getting tickets ....................
  14. Come on YOU SAINTS !!!!
  15. Saw that, but just thought it was poor signal reception over the internet !
  16. I maaged to watch a large part of the game over the internet and i was impressed by Saints - I have been critical of Antonio (last saw him at Colchester where he didn't play well) but tonight I thought his contribution was excellent. I was also impressed by Morgan, who seemed to be involved in many moves. Fonte looks an excellent buy, Thomas played well again. Ok we had to hang on for the last 15 mins but for most of the game we looked like the only winners. I'm beginning to like this competition !!
  17. Pericard has signed for Swindon
  18. I'm pleased with AP and his back-room staff, they are really doing their best to turn the club around - so far most of AP's signings have added positively to our output, so let's wait and see what Otsemobor can contribute.
  19. Personally, I find it very dubious, but I have no hard evidence to give you and tell you not to go after this. As there no other bidders offer him a low-ball price and see if you can get it at a more reasonable price.
  20. After watching him turn several promising attacks into nothing at Colcchester I have to say that I'm disappointed. But I trust AP and assume that he knows what he's doing......
  21. One big positive from this game - the slow version of OWTS was given a good airing, I even heard the Woolston Ferry (well done to those who kicked that one off) being sung but I couldn't remember the words to join in - sorry!
  22. I was stood right behind the goal (at ground level) and I wasn't convinced it was a penalty either but this clip is convincing............. If only their goalie hadn't made a couple of really great saves we might have clinched a draw..............
  23. I was 20 ft behind the goal so in a reasonable position, but not the best position to judge. However, I'm happy to provide a comment.
  24. Been back for about 1 hour and had time to digest the game. In the first half we had periods of dominaton but no real sense of making a goal - their goal came a bit out of the blue, but it looked a well worked goal (couldn't see if it was offside or not but heard folks say that it was). After that they contained us well, using some tactics which were clearly designed to put us off our game - they worked because the ref let them get away with it. Second half I think they were more of a threat than in the first half, but we pushed hard to try and equalise - but we lacked penetration in the final third. I thought our offside goal was a good goal, I was stood right behind the goal and had a reasonably clear view. Then Connolly's follow-up shot was blocked and went out for a corner, the ref gave them a free kick from which they went down to our end and scored. I couldn't see this goal, but I can't blame Bart for the first which was a misunderstanding between our midfield and defense - it was easy to tell this as about 6 Saints players were all arguing after the first goal. After their second goal we continued to work hard but produced little end result. The penalty decision was the one piece of poor refeering that went our way all afternoon. Antonio was next to useless - so many attacks were channeled through him and just broke down because he lost the ball. Harding was good again today - my MOM. Overall I thought the defense coped well, we lost the game in midfield imo.
  25. We were stood right behind the goal and were convinced it wasn't offside. The linesman also gave them a goal kick, when it was a clearly corner, from which they scored their second goal. So we could say that the officials cost us the game but overall we were unconvincing in front of goal.
