I have a spare ticket for a student for a tenner if anyone's interested. Reason - my son can't go, told me after I had bought the tickets.

If we want to get automatic promotion then we have to play the top team and either get a result. If we play with the confidence we showed yesterday then I look forward to the game with an expectation of a result.

Just back from the game and that was a very impressive Saints performance. I enjoyed seeing Saints pass the ball out of defense rather than the hoof to Rickie. Adkins has certainly brought something to the team, we looked quality today. No more of the head tennis in the middle of the pitch which Pardew never seemed bothered about but was really frustrating to watch. Lallana and Guly added something special to the play, they created openings and opportunities for Saints. Some of Guly's flicks were just exquisite. A few posters have commented that Tranmere were poor, well last season they might have got a draw against us. They had some enormous players and they won plenty of the high balls, our route one approach last year might of hit a brick wall and how many times did we complain that Pardew had no plan B. I'm converted, I'm an Adkins fan!

When I lived there many years ago there was a bar up the top end of town that had strippers on Sunday lunch-time. It was always best to go there after lunch because you lost your appetite after watching these old grannies swing their boobies around ...........

I guess you go there for the "scenery" and not the food and drink.

It was good to hear from him, even though he couldn't be open (and as he said nor can NC, because both sides are still under contract). I was disappointed when he was fired, I wish him well and thank him for the trip to Wembley last season. However, this is all water under the bridge - the King is dead, love live the King!

It could have been worse, but I still struggle to understand how we've fallen in confidence so far and so fast that we're in the relegation zone and not the play-off zone as we all expected.

Didn't the players pick up on the "win it for Markus" concept? Let's hope NA gets it right - can't blame him for tonight, he's only been here 2 days. Now he's seen the reality, rather than the showy stuff on the training ground, I hope he has a good idea about turning the performances around.
