The Witton Arms (aka Claok and Gown) is the usual haunt for away fans - but it can't hold all of us.
My plan is to grab a beer (Shakespreare or the Wellington) in town before heading up to the ground.
I think Shaw has shown more in his appearances then to be given a "still raw" assessment.
Also has SRL lost pace or is he now playing against palyers who have more pace than in the lower leagues?
Went to both the Shakespeare and Wellington last year when we were up for the Birmingham game - both were great pubs, good beer and friendly. Will definitely be heading there if at all possible for the Villa game.
I live just south of Crawley and usually drive M27, A27, A24, A272, A23/M23.
I wouldn't come via M25 / M23 as there can be horrendous queues coming off at exit for Gatwick on the southbound M23 around 07.00.
If you open right click on the new tune you should see "artwork" as an option - open this up and you can paste directly into the box here. That's always worked for me BUT i haven't uploaded the most recent version of iTunes yet!
Having read the pundit's predictions for spending in this window it seems everyone in the bottom half of the PL is looking for a new defense. Not sure, despite our wishes, that we'll get what we want as there's lots of competition out there.
Teams I ikeep an eye out for. Crawley, as I live nearby. Leeds, went to uni there and Derby County, used to live there but have gone right off them after the play-offs. Last but not least - Newcastle, as the wife is a Geordie.
Well Everton were pretty quiet as well - except for their goal celebrations of course.
They couldn't even muster a response to Saints singing, Is this a library? Is this a library?
So being working class doesn't automatically guarantee atmosphere.......
Listening to the commentary of the Bradford vs Arsenal game last night, Oxo came on as sub in the 69th minute and didn't do much more than pass to Bradford players. He did at least score a penalty in the shoot out.
On what i heard last night it has to be Gaston.
I dislike this booing of Guly. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion as to whether he's right for our squad but once he's steps on the pitch in a Saints shirt we should back him and do our best to inspire his performance.
Very impressed with him against Norwich - he was my MOTM. While it would be great to have cover only a few weeks ago this was the postion that everyone was posting about - now it's the goal keeper. So let's be thankful that we have now at least one great option at LB.
