Let's stick with the Pompey version as we hate Pompey, don't we?
-
Love it!! can see myself, after a few beers tomorrow, singing this one!!

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, you can come up with the analysis so quickly and make it look like we're idiots for what has happened. However, the hard bit is putting the right pieces in place to get it right going forward. Ask the guru on the train which defender and which striker we should buy to help us fulfil our aspirations. Also if it helps put our situation into perspective keep an eye on Burnley - great season last season, producing good players, Europa league this season. A manager who impressed me but they're having a tough time right now as well. Yet another lauded to laughing stock case?

Your post is tasteless and not funny.

Yep, I was there as well. so I can confirm this one.

Doesn't sound like you missed anything!

33% win ratio at Espanyol where he went after Watford (36% win ratio at Watford). He has a nice pedigree but not convinced his recent managerial record is that exciting...
-
Dejan Lovren, because of where his head was while wearing a Saints shirt.

Any recommendations on good pubs (e.g. real ale and decent food) that will welcome away fans?
-
Yes, I agree this doesn't inspire much confidence in future direction, but then again what did Marcus and Cortese know about football when they bought the club. Maybe history can repeat itself?
-
As has already been said, it was time for a change, but nobody lasts 8 years unless they have made contributions to the club. Thank you Les and good luck for the future. The one other positive thing coming out of this news is that Glasgow can now close his "Les out" thread and stop posting on this topic on every other thread.

Maybe we need relegation like we needed administration...

I can't see anyone in this thread picking on his weight??? -
Unfortunately we bombed out. We were on the official supporters coach, which didn't drop us off until just before 14.00, so we went straight to the ground to get a beer and food there. The Banks' bitter and the pie were OK but the bitter ran out and we then had to drink Carling, enough said.

He was doing a lot of work yesterday, partly helping us get control in midfield. He didn't look unfit, just not in goal scoring form.
-
I'd rather be relegated than have Redknapp anywhere near us.
-
Mind you he had some rationale. One of Lemnia's passes to him (he was on the wing on the touchline) was a good 5 yards behind him instead of to his feet or just in front of him.

I think you hit the nail on the head here - text highlighted. We were in the ascendency before their first goal. Their crowd could see it, hence their chanting, we could see it. However we didn't react well to their substitutions and ours didn't really work. I was happy to see Armstrong come on but he was not in the game at all, giving the ball away and when Cavaleiro came on we were already starting to stutter. Maybe Cedric needs to suss out some more Portguese players for us for the January transfer window..... Gabbi came on late but no wonder goal for him a la Swansea.

I haven't watched the highlights but was at the game. As others have said we were under the cosh for the first 20 mins but gradually forced our way back into the game, thank to great efforts from the midfield and forwards working together. We continued in this vein into the second half and Wolves were getting nervous, the crowd grew more silent and their chanting changed to "Come on you Wolves" and "Get into them, f**k them up", the types of chants used when you see that your team needs to pull it's finger out. Around 70 mins felt we could earn a draw, maybe sneak a win. Then came the substitutions, combined with some glaring unforced errors from Saints which allowed them to get their goal. We then responded but couldn't force a goal and they got their second. MOTM = McCarthy, who made a couple of great saves to keep us in the game at 0-0. Close second Redmond, who worried their defence all afternoon. Every time he had the ball they doubled, even tripled up on him. In the end disappointed not to get the draw but as I arrived expecting a defeat I guess I got when I came for.

I've been looking into this and the official answer is that there only appears to be one pub welcoming away fans - the Bluebrick on Broad Gauge Way, just near the station and the Premier Inn. if you are willing to go under cover, i.e. not wear any colours then there are nice looking pubs in the town centre, e.g. Great Western, on Sun Street, the Grain Store on King Street and the Duke of York on Princess street. We'll probably try some of these.

What's wrong with Games Workshops?
-
It's all down to perspective. Eight years ago we were in league one, now we're PL. That's an achievement and a reflection of ambition!!
-
Can you show us how you arrived at this valuation?
-
It's the best idea. I wouldn't try to park near the stadium.
-
There's a nice car park in Trafalgar Street, not too far from the station (5 mins walk). I use it a lot when I visit Brighton. You then get the train to Falmer station (ride takes around 9 mins). Stadium is 5 mins walk from Falmer.

Would you agree that McCarthy has improved since joining us?
