Let's hope we stick to our guns and don't go weak at the knees if 'pool flash more cash.
-
Let's get the Woolston Ferry song going, maybe adapt it to add some mention of Saints in there.
-
Jeez, get a grip. You surely haven't been supporting Saints for very long if you think that was the luckiest point .................
-
Here's a bright note - wasn't Frank de Boer seen by many on here as a contender to replace Puel. Well, based on palace's form and performances we're better off without him. That's a bullet well dodged.

Respect is earned and can be lost. He lost it in the way he left the club. If he had shown us respect to the very end until he left then he would still have my respect.
-
I still have mine, it cost (my dad) £2.50..... Bargain!
-
I'll not boo him. If he puts the shirt on and plays for the first team he should get our support.

Great goal and a great prospect for us (imo)

Good point - is anybody knowledgeable on the status of the banner? I remember some comments that the banner rolled out at Wembley was NOT the banner paid for by the supporters, if so where is our banner.....
-
Fully agree with the majority of sentiments on this thread. I don't feel like Alpine does, i'm more positive - why would the Chinese invest if they didn't feel they could improve on where we are? How about we add Markus onto the legends banner??
-
It sold out on Sunday while open to ST holders, I was watching as I wanted to go to this game. So members didn't even get a chance............. :(
-
Has anyone seen a video clip of Gabi's goal?
-
What do all of these fantastic players have in common? None of them wanted to stay and play for Saints.
-
that is a slight exaggeration.........

Anybody read young Channon's book...How's your Dad?

link please??? -
Best wishes for the big day. Whatever you do, don't tell your wife to be that you are missing a Saints game because you are getting married, she may not feel the same way as you do about Saints!.

He's been dead for ages, why hasn't he been replaced with a quality philosopher??
-
He freely signed the contract, nobody forced him to. He should have made a better job of thinking through his future and if he wanted to leave to progress his career he shouldn't have signed. Now he has to live with the consequences.
-
This above makes perfect sense to me. I do not blame Les or the board for the VvD situation, not will I. I blame the player, he signed a new long-term contract and now he wants to leave. Why did he bother signing the new contract if he knew he wanted to leave??

David Armstrong, Ivan Golac and Steve Williams are 3 who come to the fore as I think this through.
-
Best wishes to J-Rod for his future. If only he could have netted in Milan he'd have crowned his career perfectly with us. Like others have said he never really recovered his form after his injury (maybe he didn't get enough game time to do that, but I think he did) and both he and we needed to move on. thanks J-Rod!

thanks for the link, good to see that our boys were heavily involved in the action.

For a bit of fun I looked up the win ratios (as a manager) of the following past and proposed Saints managers C.Puel 42% M.Pellegrino 43% S.Dyche 39% T.Puchel 49% R.Koeman 54% M.Pochettino 42% N.Adkins 44% Based on this information, and this alone, I'm not sure Dyche is the right target. Pellegrino could turn out to be Claude - not growing in this role or Poch - who positively surprised everyone despite his lack lustre record (Poch's win ratio was only in the high 30's before he moved to Tottenham where his successes have improved his stats). But if not him, who else?

Congratulations to Steven Davis.

What's more disturbing is that I did know most of the answers but have forgotten them............................
