“We want nothing less than three points on Sunday.” My job as a fan is to encourage my team and if there's a vulnerable target on the opposition's side, try to put him off his game (yes, this tactic could backfire as it may motivate him to play better). He did start the game brightly and looked creative, but I like to think the abuse got to him and his game suffered. So in the end he was substituted, job done! Would I behave like that to him if I saw him at an airport, no........ But as Bill Shankly said, "Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that."

1/. Rebuild the stadium - and create a safe standing singing end. Stewards to eject any one not singing............. this would also involve moving the away fans to a corner. 2/. Have the outside walls of the stadium decorated in murals reflecting history of the city and great players - but nmust include Mike Channon in a prominent position. 3/. Buy a team to win more FA cups than Pompey, to stop them from boasting ever again............... 4/. Display the Markus banner in the singing end before every home game 5/. Make the concourses less like a junk yard and more welcoming - like at Arnhem or Sunderland - they are lovely

Great trip - it was like a holiday!!! The people were so friendly and welcoming - this made us feel so relaxed. Apologies to any Saints fans on here who followed my advice to get the number 1 bus to the Airbourne Museum. We did that on Friday and it was not the best way to get there - as we found out after changing buses 3 times and then having to walk half a mile. Still it was worth it as the museum was excellent! sent my thank you e-mail to Arnhem.................... thanks to Whitey for finding the link

I'm a slacker!

Has anybody sussed good drinking places in Arnhem. We're arriving later and will only probably get chance for a quick beer before the game. Wouldn't want to waste the first beer in the wrong place!

I managed to figure it out in Dutch (as I speak some German and the similarities between Dutch and German helped me there)

I opted to pick up the tickets at the stadium, so unless they refund me I'll only find out on the night!!!

I bought from their web-site, I had to register first. They accepted my registration and sold my 2 tickets in block 122.

Just bought 3 tickets in the Chapel. There are still tickets available.

Nothing from Vitesse today (I mean refund wise as I opted to pick the tickets up at the stadium).

I'm in the same situation - will need to drive down from London and an early kick-off is going to make it almost impossible to attend - will be very disappointed if this is the case.....

who spanked whom?? hopefully it was Vitesse getting the spanking, as winning away at Ajax is a bit scary.............

just booked my tickets in block 122 and a cheap hotel in the city - now I have to figure out how to get there.............
