It's interesting to see the comments on Ricky, and how big a miss he is for us. Last season many posters were saying he wasn't good enough to be in the team, that he should be dropped. Is this a case of our memories growing fonder as time passes or many of us under estimating the controbution Ricky made to the team? For me it's the latter.

I like him and would have prefered him to Long.

Just listened to the the interview and didn't think he said anything controversial, in fact i think he deliberately avoided making comment when asked about the turmoil at Saints.

It's not unreasonable to predict that after all of the changes we've experienced it might mean that we end up in a lower league position than last year, but relegation is a bit too wild for me.

Nice blog Redslo! As a kid I don't remember any of us spending a lot of time heading the ball,a nd I copme from the era of heavy leather balls with prominent stitching! We were always into dribbling and shooting.

It's not difficult to feel down about losing good players but when you say there's not much else to enthuse about have you forgotten that we've signed two good looking players - Pelle and Tadic - I'm enthused by that.

You're right, but every customer serving business I know spends lots of money trying to find out what their customers want! So in principle it sounds a good idea but how it would implemented is my concern.

Until it's clear if Lovren stays or go - the CB partnership can not really be resolved. I'm sure the club are working on this right now - we just don't know the outcome (at least i don't as I'm not itk)
