He did great things for us - totally agree. BUT he walked on us with a year left on his contract - that wipes out any positive sentiment I have towards him. Give him abuse, show some passion!

Disappointing if he goes, but if he really wants to go then let him. Somebody has to buy out his contract though............ To be honest don't think he'll achieve his vision at Spurs.

He could another Nick Holmes type player - solid, club player but maybe not much more than that. However an important part of the backbone of our team for years ahead.

Nice post Giordano - certainly food for thought. I certainly wouldn't be disappointed if we sold players and then bought good young ones to replace them. To become a consistent top 6 club will not happen with one crop of good players, we need to be confident that we can repeat this process, i.e. bring on some from the academy and buy a few in. Only then will we be able to attract a consistent flow of youngsters to the academy and also become an attractive club for upcoming stars not in our academy.

Wow! Alpine, you shouldn't get so involved in stuff you can't influence or control. Whatever is happening we will find out sooner or later, but neither you nor I will be consulted or told anything beforehand. I love the Saints, but I'm not going to get wound up by this................... for your sanity and BP i suggest you try to do the same.

Was stood in the Kingsland yesterday and thought the noise from Saints was good until the second half - and as was said above, the crowd in 2H took their lead from what was going on the pitch. Utd were louder and Saints were quieter. However the noise for the lap of honour was great, despite the fact many fans had already left.

Only to have most of it nicked when he's out of town on an away fixture!!!

After reading 6 pages I think all the arguments have been laid out. My conclusion: I disagree with 42 and Whitey Grandad, and believe the club have done a reasonable job for the Man U tickets.
