I did tell you all we wouldn't get anything out of this game. If some of you took your rose tinted glasses off for a minute and realised we're up against a top top top side you'd see that there was really only going to be 1 result today and that wasn't a Saints win.

Anyone have any update on the progress of the training ground? Thought it was meant to be finished by 'early 2014' last I heard…looks half built and abandoned in a few on the training ground interview videos I've seen on YouTube/OS.

Gave the S4 a miss last year because I thought it was too similar to the S3 I had (went with an Xperia Z1 instead) this too looks pretty similar really, and a bit dull…won't be getting a new phone until September 2015 anyway so the S6 will be out by then I would've thought.

Not the competition it was. Fans want to see the Premier League, not the FA Cup these days.

In my opinion we need to: Get in a decent back-up GK, Ship out Hooiveld (on loan or permanent), Get in a decent CB, Send JWP out on loan, A decent LB (Haven't seen or heard enough of Targett to judge him), A decent PL/CL standard striker. If we hit all these 'targets' then I think we'll have a successful transfer window which will push the club a bit further up the table and closer to our long term CL goal. The big question is, is whether KL and the new mentality the club has adopted will affect our transfer activity. If it does and we play it safe so to speak then I can see the squad pretty much staying as it is (maybe with a couple going out on loan) maybe with the addition of a decent SBC striker to shore up our attacking options but that's about it. So basically, do we stick or twist? I would've thought that if we keep our current first team squad together we could easily get mid-table again next season but it all depends if the clubs ambitions are still to get the CL or not eventually…it'll be bloody interesting to see what happens.

I was actually feeling quite positive about this game and thought we'd win until I saw Clattenburg had been appointed. I've now put my mortgage on us to lose.

I actually welcomed the team selection, thought it was very good squad rotation from MoPo. We've got a few players who haven't played for a while (K. Davis, Hooiveld, Ward-Prowse, Wanyama) so it was good to give them a run out and see what they could do, unfortunately they failed the test. Also think the 'sitter' from Lambert was actually quite difficult to convert purely because it bobbled up in the air just before he went to strike the ball and made an extremely easy chance a much harder one with the way he had opened his body up. I think we were pretty unlucky not to get the draw out of it, it was a 0-0 game for an intents and purposes but that worldie from Gardner decided it, you can slate the defenders etc. all you want but that goal was pretty damn good, a freak goal that almost all keepers/defenders could've done nothing about. Apart from Targett and Lambert the team he put out was pretty much exactly what I'd hoped/expected it to be.
