Stephens is one of the top English CBs around so why do you think he is shit
-
Many times in the past 50 years I have expected we would beat Sheff Wednesday but unfortunately we did not so I would be happy with a draw
-
I remember seeing the County Champions pennant flying in 1962 at Northlands Road a number of times when I was 16 years old Does that Flag or a similar one after the addition of Durham still exist?
-
Give the bloke a chance 19 years old in and out of a team performing badly it is unsurprising he did not perform well. I doubt he was bought to perform consistently well in the PL in his first season but like Tella hopefully he will be better as he gets older

Four Southern Teams in the Semis
-
So why do West Ham want to get rid of him?
-
No it is not In most cases you have a fraction of second more in the Championship to react to everything The best sportsmen are the ones who seem to have time to spare to react to the ball .
-
Yes I agree we are off to Amalfi
-
Very true off to the Naples Coastline myself next week slightly better than Weston Shore where I would go regularly with my mum in the 1940s.
-
Very true but I do not think it was easy to get a top striker to play for Southampton not sure we have recruited a decent one in the last ten years except when Koemann was here apart from Ings who was injured. Why do you think that has happened
-
Nothing to do with NRR Surrey lost so we got more points than them https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/vitality-blast-2023-1347399/points-table-standings

After Hampshire beat Gloucs by 8 wickets Essex score a 6 on the last ball to beat Surrey and give Hampshire a home QF
-
I think it is reasonable to be concerned about incomings but we have a huge squad many of which should do OK in the Championship So do you think it is reasonable to get rid of some of them before buying in more. We need a squad of decent players who play regularly together not a squad of players where the team changes each week at the whim of the manager
-
I find your reply a trifling baffling surely Spurs a team which has finished 8th 4th 7th 6th 4th 3rd 2nd 3rd 5th 6th in the PL is not a top team. I have never run down JWP who is decent PL player who scores fantastic free kick goals but is not a top class PL player and will unlikely be playing regularly next season in a team like Spurs
-
I am not sure you are correct any goalkeeper who plays in the PL by definition is not total shite whether he becomes a top PL goalkeeper is another thing Only time will tell but his chances are probably better than you becoming a top goalkeeper I think we should give him a chance
-
He is not good enough for Spurs or other top clubs
-
We are a Championship Club the press is only interested in the PL so rumours are going to be limited
-
I seem to remember Agboola was sometimes used as a sweeper in a back 5
-
I doubt the club ever expected him to stay for 5 years when he was signed for the club Most likely he was convinced to join us as he was told he could go to CL club if one came in for him and like Hypo said he will probably go for £20 to £25 million We have already got his replacement from Chelsea
-
I wish whingeing fans from other clubs who are possibly spouting bollix would just piss off we have enough of our own who we have grown to ignore Martin is our manager now I wish him well but I do not expect an immediate return to the PL I just would like to see a fair amount of home wins with little or no chance of relegation SR have fucked up completely since they become involved with the club so all I want to see is stability If four or five of our best players leave their is little chance of us surviving in the the PL with the players that performed so dismally in the PL last season especially as we have very few decent youngsters coming through who are committed to the club.
-
I agree that Lyanco is not the problem himself the problem is buying players like Lyanco who were not PL ready
-
I have no idea as I do not know what players are going to move on
-
What a load of Old Pony Fulham Villa Brentford and Brighton did well last season and will do well this season if they add players of JWP to their squads And we would have done the same if we had bought some decent PL players of the last five or so years
-
Fulham finished 10th in the PL last season seems to be a reasonable club for somebody like JWP
-
I would have thought that players like Ballard would want to develop in a PL academy rather than playing regularly in the Championship where their workload would have to be managed
