Exactly it took Lawrie Mac four years to get back after our first relegation and it took Ted Bates even longer to get to Div 1 originally It is possible we could return this season but we have got some young inexperienced player who may develop to become top class. Within in the Championship we are a top club with some financial muscle and eventually will return to the PL Good teams evolve and we want this team to be able to eventually perform well in the PL lets see how they do in the next few months

You make an interesting point about Che we do not know whether any club offered the asking price I doubt any did but he may well have gone if they had. It will be interesting to see what happens to Che if we get promoted

Thank goodness the window is over I think we now have a decent squad and i look forward to the rest of the season positively as there is more experience available than there was last season Just hope people get off Bazunna's back if he is not up to it in the next few months I am pretty sure the club will react in a positive way. Now that we seem to have a decent defence an CM he will have better cover and no doubt his confidence will improve.

The club's top priority probably is that they eventually receive 15 million for Che SR are in football for financial reasons that is why Spurs sold Kane

There are pros and cons in both scenarios but Che is an employee and should be treated well surely he should have some input into the decision

Currently our squad is no where near PL standard without JWP Lavia Tino ABK so what is the point of going up this season if we come down again next

Perhaps they are not planning to get promoted this season If we did do you think we would have the players to stay there as we are selling our best players and I am not sure we will be getting in PL type players anytime soon

I do not want to ridicule but ask you why a top class international player would not want to play in possibly the best league in the World iin 50K stadia nstead of playing at places like Rotherham Blackburn and Middlesboro

I do not understand that many on here blamed our relegation on three different managers when it was clear that a significant number of the players were pretty substandard. Now a fourth has found that many are not that good against a Div 2 team. Our recruitment for the last few years has been awful but these players are still with the club we need of course to get rid of them but I doubt that will be easy. Building a promotion side is not easy so it may take some time to happen especially if we lose KWP and JWP but if they do go we should be able to get decent replacements We need to have a decent squad if we are to stay in the PL after promotion it is going to be an interesting time being a Saints supporter By the way did anybody play well last night who was in the starting eleven

Football is just a job to them I do not blame them if they move to other clubs to get more money although what they get paid is another matter
