  1. No thanks, Newcastle did one when they lost the cup final to Arsenal, it was cringeworthy...
  2. They could land and start off in Ottawa and then head into USA...
  3. Still in shock, so used to Saints blowing it. I was sure they'd draw today and give us an uneasy 80+ minutes on Saturday. Glad they proved me way wrong. WHAT A FEELING!!!! SAINTS ARE GOING UP!!!!!!!
  4. Stressed as hell. Come on Saints, get 'er done! 14C and drizzle here...
  5. Great win, shame about the bummers letting in a last minute goal. I might have known they'd open up and let someone slip in behind them...
  6. Oh well, in for a penny in for a pound I love it when those bummers give us a helping hand... Also COYRs!!
  7. Great 1st half, more of the same pon can please Saints. Hopefully the Brighton can come from behind and gives a helping hand. Gorgeous sunshine here in the Province of Quebec, I am sitting in the shade of my garage keeping up with the games and watching the kids play on their bikes...
  8. 5/5/2013...
  9. Lived in newcastle, everyone hated us there too, something to do with them always choking against us at the Dell.
  10. That Ronnie Ekelund diving header after about 20 passes in the buildup (vs Man City or Coventry in about 1995ish).
  11. *best Leslie Neilson voice* "Good luck, we're all counting on you..."
  12. What a mix of emotions during that one. Went from grumbling round the house at 1-0 at halftime, to "WHY! WHY can't we just pull this off, I've suffered enough...", then to scaring the **** out of the kids with a roar of..."YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH 1-1...CONNELLY", to leaving the kids and wife staring at me aghast as I suddenly erupted and charging around the house screaming "YES YES YES" and then sliding on my knees. Brilliant result, now please Saints, i'm begging you, don't **** it up!
  13. FFS, a gift goal, why do we always make it so hard on ourselves. C'mon Saints, put those chances away and give us something to cheer about...
  14. 3 degrees C and light rain here (windchill -1 C). COYRs!!!
  15. This is going to the wire. Hope Saints 3 pts tomorrow, this isn't good for my health...
  16. Probably go back and make sure Chris Nicholl didn't get the sack so we could "move on to the next level..."
  17. If the money is not back then fair enough, nothing I can do about it so no point getting my knickers in a knot. I'm enjoying that we are in with a chance of promotion, the last few years has taught me not to take that for granted. If you get so steamed and preoccupied by a football team then nothing is ever going to be alright, there will always be some failings, be it in the champ, the prem or FA cup final, I just like to enjoy the football and move on after it is over, I have more important things to worry about. If that is egocentric, that is fine, I am happy with my life.
  18. All the years of disappointment have taught me that even if they totally **** the bed and lose in the playoffs, I will be back the next season ready for the new challenge. In the end, what's the point of getting all bent out of shape about a sports team full of rich guys who couldn't give a flying **** about my life. It'd be nice to somehow do it the easy way and grab second spot, if not, I'll be pulling for Saints in the playoffs, if they lose then so be it, I'll just fire up my BBQ and enjoy my summer with steaks and beer and pick it up again in the autumn, no need to have an aneurysm about it.
  19. 2 threads about this, are you lot not getting a bit obsessed about their obsession?
  20. You need to make sure you are running slow enough to build up a base without overdoing it and hurting yourself. Use the 10% rule, i.e. increase your mileage by 10% each week (and not by more). To gauge what is slow enough, you should be able to hold a normal conversation whilst running, if you can't you are running too fast for a training run. Once you have a base, you mix in other (shorter runs) at a faster pace. Training is all about allowing your body to get maximum gains out of each workout without over-stressing the systems to a point where the gains become less than maximal and the injury risk becomes higher. It is a balancing act that is for sure. Oh and one last thing, ice is your friend, ice up any aches and pains after a run, it helps the tissue repair faster. Good luck.
  21. http://www.sportsclubstats.com/England/LeagueOne.html This site simulates the rest of the season based on probability and has us finishing in 2nd...just sayin'
  22. My brother told me Chris Moyles and "Comedy" Dave were on air for 52 hours, sounds horrible...
  23. Sounds rough, what was the argument about?
  24. Doesn't matter, as long as India win, England are into the next round. BOTH Bangladesh and WI have to win to edge England out...
  25. This HAS to be a joke, the lyrics are so bad, the video is utterly lame and the ****ing singing, goddamn, the way she sings "FRIDAY", I nearly punched the screen. How difficult is it to put together such pathetically shallow and boring lyrics? "I'm now typing on my keyboard, typing on my keyboooooard, which key shall I press next, maybe A, after A it's B and then C"....GAH! Makes that ISA ISA baby commercial look good.
