  1. You'll have to wait until the 6 monthly accounts are published in February then. But in the meantime, if we're still avoiding administration on the number of asse"s we're getting on seats up till now that must give a good idea of exactly how much we're paying our staff. 17K break even ,with about 10K of that on STs at an average of a about £18 a game; 7k split 5 full price+2K concessions, give an average of about £18.50 after VAT. Game every 2 weeks (less really) 10Kx£18+5Kx20+2Kx£15=310K per 2 week interval. 100K for the players,20K for the 'ground staff, some for the police etc etc. We can't be paying any more.
  2. They are kids earning peanuts, it looks good on the OS but they are severely underpaid by CCC standards. You could ship out Smith,Robertson,Gasmi,Gobern, McLaggon,Thomson,Patterson,Lallana and all that and still not have enough to pay a Saga or a Rasiak. Most of you won't believe it but I would say that our weekly wage bill for those 34 players is probably less than 100K per week, including the big earners like BWP and Davis.
  3. Isn't Saga coming back and will be available as from Thursday next? True it's not by choice though. I'm afraid that his return will send us into administration.
  4. Who we can't afford. No point in owning a Ferrari if you can't afford to put petrol in it. Market is depressed so you can't sell it either.
  5. We shall see. That's the trouble with football managers, they rise to dizzy heights then coming crashing down in the blink of an eye. it's a risk business. I don't rate Hull.I'll say what I like about their manager.
  6. Perhaps they have given us up until the day before the transfer window closes to decided if we want to buy him. Perhaps we have a block on any new contracts past that date.
  7. Provided that some-one was willing to sell them at that price; Share prices change greatly,the intrinsic value of the company is what really counts. Try to find some-one to sell you 2 million shares at 21p, you'll see what I mean;
  8. No it isn't.
  9. But what difference did the public bollicking actually make?? Zero, Zilch, they still lost 5-1. Hull have been punching above their weight, riding an unknown system. They'll be lucky to escape relegation. Brown is a zero who got lucky.
  10. But no-one actually bought or sold any so it's totally academic.
  11. But we don't get all of the money, we get 45% same as Utd, the rest goes into the FA pool. So in fact the extra spectators above our usual league attendance are just contributing to the FA and Man U
  12. Which is probably why he's head coach and not manager.
  13. Makes a change from Cold Turkey anyway.
  14. What we need is a central defender. Too many goals from set pieces. Don't know how it panned out today but I wouldn't mind wagering it was something to do with Perry being 2ft 3 and 36 years old.
  15. And like all addictions it costs a lot of money and eventually does your head in.
  16. Jest me not kind sir.
  17. Burnley will win that, much too good for Doncaster. Probably have only just turned up,
  18. Probably 4000 or so;even though they only got 3200 tickets.
  19. Same as always, plenty of possession but no goals-that's us. Reading are doing a lot of fouling but then they will invariably score and it will be all over; If we learn to score we will be :eek:world beaters.
  20. I am a veritable fountain of obscure knowledge.
  21. £12.50 eh, won't get even a ropey prostitute for that,no worries, plenty of teenage slappers to be had for the price of a couple of drinks in most downtown bars though. If not try Portsmouth.
  22. Are you sure about that?? I thought most football season tickets are stated to be non-refundable under normal circumstances (there are special cases, admin etc where you're considered as a creditor for the rest of the ticket)
  23. I think it failed because all those who like to talk about share collectives don't have any money. That's why they like the idea of a lot of other people doing the hatchet work for them.
  24. With the crowds were getting I doubt it matters which League we're in; 15K is a joke for a city of 400K people.Southampton people don't give a toss about Saints anyway.Unemployment and recession will bite the UK hard for another couple of years. 500,000 households are more than 3 months behind with their mortgage already.Football is a luxury now, Southampton has no factories to speak of, it's a nation of shopkeepers and London commuters..
