I think the Pedro deal fell through because of how Utd wanted to pay actually. Anyway at Chelsea he'll be back wherever he came from next season. Chelsea's recruitment policy is just nonsensical, they buy,they try, they ship them out in most cases.

Well if you look at their recent record of signing these "megastars" you'll see that they're not all that successful. The number of Manu "targets" that have moved to other clubs or stayed put this summer is sort of impressive. Perhaps LvG isn't very popular with players eh. The very nature of the PL itself is offputting enough for many, there are some who just don't fancy 60 matches a season with no winter break when compared to the "Club Med" conditions in Spain and Germany.

In Dutch football..we all saw just how mediocre their better teams are when we played Feyenoord and Vitesse. I mean Memphis was the bee's bollorks at PSV but he looks a bit average for Utd so far.

What have Brentford got to do with it ? Surely them selling tickets for a game in which they're not involved is touting.

i'd not take suggested line-ups any too seriously if I were you, people just make them up and fit their personal favourites or some costly player in any old where without taking in to consideration his attributes or previous experience. FM is the bane of our age.

Oh he must be able to "put himself about" number of yellow cards he got last season would tell you that, it might also suggest to you that he doesn't do it particularly well...then again all DMs get yellow cards by the packet.

As I see it we got a good crowd for Vitesse because it was a: a bit of a novelty and b:they brought a good number of a tidy few. This game is less attractive and the result should really be a bit of a foregone conclusion so fewer people are interested.

Well I see a fair few concerns about Maya,Targett and Cedric here but honestly what do people expect for their money. Targett is young and comes from the academy, he's 2nd choice LB at best at Saints; Cedric cost about 4 million and so did Maya so really what do you expect from players costing those sort of sums, a top class PL player is 15-18 million at least, between 8 and 14 milion you're in the maybe/maybe not section and any less that sum you're in the take a punt and hope area. Didn't think Maya was too bad on Saturday myself, probably better than Fonte.
