What sick of not getting a game or a new contract?

Not sure just how academy minded Koeman actually is. He certainly has a reputation for using young players but doesn't seem to think most of ours can do the job he requires.

In fact the first goal was a combination of errors by the two DMs, Toby lost the ball and then when Victor did get a foot on it towards the edge of our box he firked it up as well and let Touré have a free shot which took a deflection and left Forster diving into the wrong place. Davis lost the ball for the second I think, Morgan is so key to our game that any prolonged absence might well be a disaster waiting to happen.

Not the end of the world of course but the poor performances of Tadic, Pelle and Mané once again are a distinct concern.

Hull look absolutely dire though, Bruce can do whatever he likes really,won't make much difference Aluko looks poor as well. They're far worse than I remember and on the form that they're showing today they won't be much above the drop zone.

We weren't crap, we just had no efficiency at the sharp end because Pelle was poor,Long inexistant and Mané wasteful. We need JRod back but it seems to me that his progress is perhaps slower than foreseen.Over 8 months out now and no sign of even late cameo appearances from him. Still he was apparently kicking balls over a month ago so perhaps he isn't too much further off.

Pity, Tadic would have cut him to pieces and our defence would have had an easier day because of his crap crossing.

Don't really see why we'd play Reed against Palace, I mean Ronald doesn't seem to be exactly falling over himself to give him game time now does he. We'll play the strongest available side whenever it's available, Cork will figure in that long before Reed, might get a run out at Sheffield though..then again perhaps not. Noticed we've gone from 3 or 4 academy products last season to a big round zero this. Don't know just how on board Ronald is with the academy just now. He plays his strongest side and doesn't seem to give a toss where it comes from.

Don't really know about JWP adding much to the crossing and set pieces really. Pulling the ball back as Bertrand eventually did for a MF running on was the way to go perhaps. A lot of our goals are coming from the MFs and defenders just now.

Ah but there it was the same for both teams except that we have about a milllion internationals and they probaby have about 2. Looked to have had a distinct effect on both Mané and Long actually, don't know how much Long played in the 2 Irish games though but Mané played twice. In fact without Guzan thay'd be in a pretty bad way. Like him as a keeper myself, no doubt he has some "black box" weakness that i've not seen enough of him to notice but he plays pretty well every time that I see him.
