  1. god no, he'll get us relegated, we'll get rope a doped like Derby did on Saturday.
  2. Not very likely though. Just cannot understand the difficult financial situation nonsense that's all. Are they really worried about a few million for a training centre that isn't even finished yet? or transfer fees unpaid because they're not yet due. The woman is supposed to be rich isn't she, sounds like corner shop economics to me.
  3. Also puts a bit of a damper on the "we don't need to sell" arguement doesn't it ? Well that's Hobson's Choice isn't it, sell your better players to buy others that you need to strenghthen a squad that you've just weaked is a catch 22 situation. Wouldn't have minded selling Shaw to get funds though, not Lallana. Means that there were no other funds available I suppose so what have they done with the 100 million £ revenues from this last season?????
  4. I see that Aaron Hunt has signed for 3 years at Wolfsburg, now didn't someone tell me last January that him signing for Saints this summer was a "done deal" ?
  5. just now we're asking for more than clubs are willing to pay, not really rolling over, may change when they all start handing in their written requests. By all account Van Gaal has torn up Utd's transfer list and is insisting on a shedload of Dutch.
  6. they will anyway because of the window for the officialisation of transfers. We'll get all the FIFA hand out money for them as well. With 6 players we'll get a relatively tidy sum, exactly how much depends on how far each side go in the competition.
  7. Who'd just put in a very nasty tackle in a training game by all accounts. Swansea managed to calm everyone down in similar circumstances, we couldn't apparently. It also fell into the plan of action by KL, no one to be sold, so someone provokes Osvaldo and he has to be shipped out in a hurry. I'm sure we could have patched it up if we'd wanted to and the end of the season may have well passed in a better manner.
  8. signing certainly, sending him packing with no apparent replacement for a minor scuffle...not so sure at all.
  9. Think they'll bother to explain exactly why not ?
  10. With a big pay off then, Espanyol might take him back actually, depends if their new tea-boy manager does a decent job or not.
  11. Not really, it's just a list of pretty basic football names, a sort of invitation to make stupid bets if you like. Still as I have no sympathy for wagerers I don't really care, although they should be protected from themselves, much in the same way as other autodestruction addicts.
  12. It's just a random list of names for the most part, if anyone is silly enough to bet on them then that's their own stupid fault.
  13. I see that Espanyol have replaced Aguirre with his assistant, perhaps we could get Aguirre...bit of continuity eh...
  14. But Yakin made himself unemployed, no doubt for a reason.
  15. We shall see, they also have the likes of Sigursson, Chadli,Dembele and Bentaleb. All excellent players who just need the right manager to guide them along. I can well imagine some of the players they have pressing forwd in habitual MP style, hard machine to stop.
  16. Liquidation in the sense of everything being reduced to highest cash denominator is what people are concerned about I'd think, not legal liquidation to pay creditors.
  17. And then he dumped her for a soap actress anyway. Nothing should ever be compared to MLT, he did what he wanted and truncated his career no end. Waste of an incredible talent.
  18. They have a perfect good left back in Rose, they've a shedload of midfielders that neither Sherwood or AVB knew how to use, Lamela is a great winger...apparently, just needs someone who knows how to use him, then there's Townsend and Lennon if he's still there. They're not far short of what they need but the CBs aren't great.
  19. Not if he's resigned and paid his 2 million quid.
  20. They are of course entitled to their opinion. For me the combination of Pochettino and the squad that they have there plus 2 new CBs is dynamite, he'll take it far, top 4 next season which is where he and they want to be.
  21. Who? Reed Could well be true but for me he just has an England fixation. As long as he has a myriad of players in the unders at the FA he is a made up man. Why if the prospective new manager is up to him I'd wager on either Southgate or McClaren or even (dare I float this?) Hodgson if or when he gets sacked by England after a poor WC.
  22. Who knows really, I turn up at functions in which I have absolutely no interest from time to time, it creates an air of harmony within the group. Everyone knows that your average Southampton fan in extremely susceptible to what he or she thinks is right, what is the done thing. Not selling FFs books..baaad, no free parking...end of the world, not communicating with the fans..off with his head. We now have a mediameister at the helm, he probably just tells KL when and where to turn up.
  23. Not necessarily. Pochettino was a cheap option (20K a week, lowest paid PL manager if you believe the meejah) and he turned out well enough.
  24. what on earth would we want with an old dinosaur like that. Leave him be with his little Scotland job.
