Tyrion always lands good totty though.

How do we know it was free ? Overpaid and underplayed at least we saved a few bob then.

The fortune quoted for the late Markus is just a rough guess based on the entire family wealth. At the last Forbes count the total wealth of the Liebherr family had been reduced to about 3.0 billion dollars. No-one has ever produced any hard evidence to Markus's real wealth and really it doesn't matter too much but the fact that it's entirety could be managed by Cortese from his desk at SMS for nigh on 3 years indicates to me that the Billionaire status which has been attributed to him for these years is in fact a case of "send three and fourpence we're going to a dance". He had enough to treat us well, long may it continue but the fact that the current incumbent actually seems to be worried about money in some small way instils a sense of not being all that rich (400-500 million all told) to me.

Doncaster's season being finished it's perfectly normal that he's back with us and as the vacations don't start until nearly the end of May he has to turn up or not get paid I suppose..

Pompey is in the savage areas the other side of the wall, we are the Night Watch keeping the feckers out.

No point in trying to drum it into the thickos Vectis, for them all Liebherrs are one and the same thing, our owner has the family fortune and probably sells a few cranes and fridges in her spare time. Can't estimate the number of times that I've posted details of the different branches of the family. I really doubt that our owner is really very rich at all, well as rich people go that is.

According to the French Press (some of them even get the odd one spot on) Arsenal are looking to pay up to 20 million € so that's a bit over 16 million £. Apparently they're going to watch him again tomorrow and then bung the fax (or whatever it is nowadays) off to SFC. Unless of course he scores 15 OGs or something. The FFF are also likely to have representation at St Marys tomorrow. -
Banega is only on loan at Newells for the time being, whether there's a permanent move on the agenda I just couldn't say. With Bielsa at Marseille now I wouldn't be surprised to see him turn up there.

Michu no, Cabella, Grenier or Hamouma certainly are, to name but 3 known to me, in fact we could probably get 2 of them for the sum we'd expect to get for Lallana, that 25% to Bournemouth is a bit of a bugger though. Don't actually mind the idea of selling Lallana myself, but giving 5 or 6 million to Bournemouth just rankles.

Turnover of about 9 or 10 billion dollars I think. Still at least our new sponsor is a company that actually markets something and not just an N'ieme tacky, third world, on-line betting outfit. No doubt a few more people at least know what they market now, some of the stuff doesn't look too dusty. Think I might get one of those video cameras actually.............

Damiao wouldn't get a work permit so the question is redundant.... Had a very poor season and doesn't play for Brazil any more.
-
What we need to keep in mind here is that last season West Brom were 8th, they showed no desire to progress whatsover and it all fell apart for them. We need to stop the "academy at all costs" ballax and buy what we need now and then try to fit in any of the youngsters who are actually good enough to play at the level we want to be at. Like Shaw.
-
It's not about wanting to be here or not, it's about not trying to make silk purses out of sows ears as he's been forced to do on occasions this season.
-
Surprised at all the surprise really, he's been odds on to sign for them for a couple of weeks now, it's been posted before. Doesn't mean he'll sign for them though.
-
He couldn't play for us because he had a dodgy dual nationality or something like that, WP commission refused him and he had to leave. IIRC

Would have been if it was in such a crap place, small one horse village just outside a small 2 horse town. Good totty though.

It means don't go out and get steaming every evening from here to July, don't book your wedding or anything, try not to write yourself off in a horrific M1 accident, try to stay fit and be prepared to be called up if necessary. It's a standard French system but whether he'll make the 23 is a different matter, might make the initial 31 who go to the first training camp though. Anyway this is quite a scoop that St Chalet has shared with us, these pre-convocations are usually pretty "classified" information, certainly where DD's WC group is concerned. Not seen one othe leaked pre-convoc actually although some go without saying. -
Now where did you get that idea ? All I've said is that Clermont Foot despite their L2 status isn't much of a club as clubs go. This lady won't be managing anything, just coaching the team, coaches manage nothing in France outside playing affairs. Now if Eastleigh appointed a woman coach, would that raise a great debate because CF 63 are certainly at about that level. The club has no money and very few fans, they probably just looked for novelty value or something that brings them a bigger government handout.

Makes me think of the response of Mr Bennet towards the end of P&P, just after Lizzie's engagement actually.

Walker out of World Cup, room for Clyne?
Window Cleaner replied to Golac's Iron Gonads's topic in The Saints
doesn't he play principally on the left side though? Not that it would be an obstacle to getting another Liverpool player into the England side I suppose. On the subject of RBs, I read today ( came from a crappy paper I expect) that we're in the hunt for Trippier, now I'd think that RB was one position where we don't need any reinforcements just now.
