  1. Indeed he went up high to control a ball and landed badly so that his knee folded under him, lovely bit of control though.
  2. At the end of the day the twitterer probably just got his years mixed up and really meant 2014/15 season.
  3. Not really, it's not his fault that someone drags his crap off twitter and posts it here. People are stupid, don't think it's an offence yet. The idea that JRod wouldn't be fully operational again until at least August 2015 is idiotic, not well thought out but it's twitter which I understand is entirely populated by deltas, epsilons and 3 year olds.
  4. I had a mate years back, his GFs were all called Doris, new Doris, Old Doris, Friday Doris, Sh@g Behind the Tram Sheds Doris. Now an important personage at the Town Hall I believe.
  5. No they won't. Their career paths will dictate their desire to move on or not. Not worried about Shaw leaving myself, he's a bright prospect but defensively he is raw.
  6. But I'd still be me, a name is a name, it changes nothing.
  7. Everybody tries to hide the real capabilities of their equipment. I mean if Snowden hadn't found religion or whatever it was most would never have heard of Pine Gap other than it being a monitoring station for Apollo missions or whatever. Now I've seen it described as a UFO base, an 8 km deep hole in the ground capable of recharging electric motors of Nuclear Subs in the Pacific and hundreds of other whack theories. The entire Indian Ocean and Artic region is covered by a system of OTH radars, if MH370 went in that direction then it would have been seen unless there's a band about 100 metres wide between the overlaps.
  8. Don't try to defend him it's ******, made up to titilate his followers.
  9. what in 18 months, that's not very likely now is it. At the latest it would be Septemberish.
  10. That old chesnut isn't true you know, got it from the horse's mouth in the Kings Head and Eight Bells in Cheyne Walk.
  11. Well I think you can discount the Chinese with their jamboree bag equipment. As per my post 744 the original search area was always too far south but I suspect that the Australians knew that anyway, they had to be seen to be following up on satellite data given to them. Their radar is probably one othe world's most efficient if they were actually looking in the right direction. They may well have gone back over old data and sent their equipment to roughly the right place eventually. Do not forget that the Jindalee system can theoretically spot a Cessna at over 3000km, probably more but they're not going to fall over themselves to announce what they watch and when.
  12. He wasn't doing much of a job so they might as well sack him now and get someone else in to set up next season. They probably won't go down anyway and perhaps there's competition for the replacement they want. Isn't McKay supposed to be going to West Ham...perhaps they want to try to head him off before Sam quits.
  13. You just can't tell from any statements that the club might or have made. Some players may want to leave, then it becomes very difficult to hold onto them. We'll just have to wait and see.
  14. But Lambert was static, he had space to advance perhaps 3 metres before he would have been offside, Lallana is just standing there watching the double sombrero. We lack pace going forward if JRod isn't providing it. It's how you beat teams like Citeh.
  15. It is clearly stated in the accounts summary that only 22 of the outstanding 27 million are payable in the 2014/15 season and that this season we've paid off the 22 million we owed for this season. No problems there for me, the rampant cost of the training facilities does irk me somewhat.
  16. Great play, pity the rest of our players are so static at that time though, need to anticipate a bit more and be in motion. Morgan wll be a great player in a team where there's more movement in front of him, team with wingers perhaps.
  17. Bad weather always affects our batting, lads seems to think that they have to go after runs in a gung-ho manner to try to win what promesses to be a shortened game and our poor bowling being what it is... never works we always lose wickets cheaply.
  18. Bit of a poor start to the campaign yesterday then, not much play and some very poor batting in what there was.
  19. Well you know how it is in American sport, separate coaches for everything down to tea making and burger flipping so the poor bloke probably feels ill at ease with the idea that just one bloke does mostly everything.
  20. Yes Fonte is getting less and less reliable, there was absloutely no need for his gesture, ball would have probably run out, still I guess Gazza made him jumpy and he thought that he just had to do something.
  21. True, we shouldn't even be having this discussion........ because the bloke shouldn't even be here.
  22. Nothing dubious about either penalty, their second killed us off though and Silva was at least 2 yards offside for the last pass. Criminally bad linesmanning again, the FA really, really has to do something about all these game changing gaffs by officials. Thought we played well enough, nothing at the sharp end and of course we had the clown at the blunt end.
  23. Morgan's Mum probably wouldn't be worse, his Dad certainly wouldn't, don't know about Morgan himself. With Navas likely to show up the defensive weaknesses of our full backs Gazza will have some crosses to cut out. Shaw needs to be on top form today, if Navas takes him apart then his value will fall and his WC place will evaporate into thin air.
  24. What difference does that make, we have no-one else when Boruc is injured. Can't believe we didn't address that in January.
