  1. doubt it; never seen anything concrete to convince me that there isn't the same general confusion as there is most of the time. Anyone ever seen any Mali International accounts ?
  2. they aren't "old mates" MP was an exceptionally fine footballer who made a lot of friends everywhere he went. We loved him on the terraces at PSG. Gives 100 percent all of the time.
  3. he doesn't want to leave but he wants to progress. If we're not progressing he may change his mind. He's already said that if a top 4 club came in for him and the deal was right for both himself and the club then he would ask for it to be considered.... Basically he's got a top 4 and right price buy out clause in that new contract of his.Feel free to speculate on the amount.........
  4. Anyway the Liebherrs (or this particular branch) aren't massive at all. Cortese runs everything for them (well business wise anyway) If he goes everything will be restructured. Doubt if they're even particularly rich; otherwise everything would not be entrusted to one Italian banker who lives in Chilworth. It's a strange and messy situation.
  5. but they are; can't see what you're on about.
  6. the sticky point is just how much they're willing to pay (or underwrite) for it. for me it's pretty clear; no-one wants NC to leave but he what he wants is what he wants and he's not willing to make too many concessions on his modus operandii. He wants to buy some players that he thinks will improve our chances of achieving his aims (which no doubt he believes is what his late friend wanted) but we don't have the reddies to do that so he wants it underwritten by the Trust who don't seem to be on the same wavelength.
  7. indeed; when you look at the post match gallery on the OS you see loads of fouls that the ref just doesn't sanction; Rickie seems to be on the receiving end of a lot of them. Mind you we're perpetrating a few of them as well; not on Rickie though.
  8. is he any better than say Gaston or Rodwell or Andy Carroll ? Statistically he's one of the top 20 players in the UK; better than Mata or Tevez so who knows what he's worth really. If he really has the ability to raise his game to each level that's needed then he's worth whatever someone is willing to pay.
  9. he works for the "project sportif" that Cortese sold to him not for a few results. For many involved in football the future is often as important as the present. Ancelotti is considering his future at PSG because he says the project is more important than this season's results.
  10. don't know much about them really but I saw Sampdoria a while back when I was in Genoa and they weren't anything exceptional; bit like Stoke or Aston Villa.
  11. probably not even as good as Swansea; Italian league is a bit so so after the top few.
  12. don't think Morgan's dad is set on him leaving for a "big club" though. Still reckon Top 4 UK or nothing myself. Depends on how much he wants to play for France at any time in the near future. Doesn't look like he'll get called up for the summer tour; Deschamps will be relying on his binkies again
  13. Middle dictates the end though. We needed a good middle to rectify the start but it obviously took a lot out of the players and apart from that I guess they knew they'd done the job that needed to be done.....38 points and a respectable GD was always my target and might have well been their minimum contract as well. Thankfully we had Mauricio to get us points against some of the better sides.
  14. A lot of hygiene regulation infractions on view there then. place needs closing down.......
  15. a one off case when compared to all the accused and not even prosecuted. Most cases are just skanky girls looking for easy money.
  16. serial relegation addict.
  17. misogynist Bearsy; no need for Ys everywhere..
  18. correct; real ability brings consistency. If good performances were limited to good players the FA cup would have no sense. You can win a cup with mediocre players but you can't survive in the Premier League.
  19. lets see how it pans out eh. There is an increasing number of this type of case; hardly any of them come to anything in the end. Not that I'm saying that there are a lot of skanks who prey on overpaid and underbrained footballers, oh no.
  20. Sweden,Norway,Finland. Micky Mouse football obviously respects the rules better than any other. Mind you as they all export their better players who then get into scrapes elsewhere like Ibramovich it's no great surprise.
  21. Alex Song is staying at Barca, well according to him he is anyway.
  22. 800K'ish 17th would get us the square root of not much; bout 2.5 million and 11th about 6.5 million; based on last years figures of course. So 14 million equal share, about 5 million in facility fees (TV games) 19 million from overseas TV revenue (equal shares) and somewhere between 2 and 7 million in prize money I suppose. Total somewhere between 40 and 45 million based on last year. Goes up a bit every year though and next year there is more overseas revenue to be shared. http://www.footballtransfertavern.com/premiership/premier-league-tv-prize-fund-money-weve-all-the-figures
  23. Ecuadorians have moved on since theTinMan; Valencia being a fine example.
  24. He's a troll; just sticks to one point all season and never falters; last season it was 17th in the NPC; this season it's 43 points for safety.
