  1. I really needed to know that, mind you I do have a great uncle who played for Chile in 1962
  2. Another chance for Brighton, over the bar again Dave says they should be 1 up.
  3. Dave says it's scrappy
  4. Brighton have a chance but it goes over the bar
  5. Perhaps there is a need for B internationals after all. It is well known that lower league players aren't considered for international selection because the quality of the game in those Leagues is insufficient, Mombaerts said so and so did the Polish coach.Doubt if Capello actually knows that there is professional football outside the top 2 divisions. The "readers" of the Sun were picking the England team when Bull got a couple of games.
  6. Probably but then I didn't really get the drift of the OP. The argument is based on comparing chalk and cheese and it went over my head a bit. 23 years by the way.
  7. Whilst I have no particular preference whether AP stays or goes your argument is flawed. Our problem isn't with matches lost it's with matches not won. You compare losses and then don't mention that Man Ure have only drawn 3, whereas we have drawn 12.
  8. I didn't even notice him for roughly 80% of the time, for me he did absolutely f all.If I gave out match notes he'd have got 4'ish, just for turning up. Can't understand that there are people who say he played "well enough".Perhaps I didn't notice him enough to judge, could be that.
  9. That would be because the roles are inverted but Wotton isn't a passing ace so he doesn't find Morgan to allow him to effect the relayer role correctly.Wotton probably doesn't read the game well enough to allow him to be in the right place at the right time either.
  10. Can play in midfield as well...or so they say. probably the first step in our boggy pitch initiative
  11. What the bear-hug by Harding? Although all those incidents should be penalties they are very rarely given, don't know why really.
  12. Doesn't really matter, there'll be other occasions for him I expect. Right decision by the staff not to play half-fit players just for the occasion. We'll need him more for the run in,starting at Brighton on Thursday because I doubt that they'll gift us three goals.
  13. Good report, although I had a great day out and was content that we won the Paint Pot, I thought that Carlisle threw it away more than we actually won it. Crass errors gifted us three goals (mind you the 4th was really neat) and they must regret playing that Murphy bloke because I'm sure that they could have found someone from their youth team who would have done a better job of replacing Livsey. Don't see how they made Rickie MOM though, only Harding and Antonio were serious candidates.
  14. He might have gotten it it if the Carlisle player hadn't pushed it over his head. The penalty was for handball;
  15. Just at Heathrow waiting for the flight back to Lyon. Fabulous day all in all although I thought Carlisle gifted us the match. I too thought Harding was our MOTM kept them at bay when they looked to be getting on top. Thought we played with 10 men really as Wotton did absolutely nothing whatsoever......still he couldn't **** anything up like that.
  16. 12 miles in less than 2 hours, not hanging about then
  17. Easy , I bought a ticket for MK Dons and gave it to my niece's boyfriend. I then got my son to go round to SMS when he was in the UK and buy my ticket with all the relevant details. It really didn't need much forethought. But then I do go to other games as well, about 6 a season, more if I can manage the time and the funding.London games mostly, I have a cousin who supports Charlton, we usually go to most Saints London games together.Charlton,Millwall,Orient this season so far.
  18. I do fear a lot of ridiculously small children and the clackety clack of knitting needles may be the order of the day.Still I won't tone it down for as much.
  19. Still a few fans seem to be getting sorted out with tickets even at this late hour, so the thread is worth something at the end of the day.
  20. But I think that if you turned up at their TO you could just pay and walk away no name, no pack drill. Not sure if Yorkie ever went over there or not.But there are Saints fans who have Carlisle tickets, they probably got them at the outset though fearing for an extremely low number of general sale tickets..as it turned out.
  21. Anyway seeing as their Chairman has said they will have to cut costs next season because of their poor gates I suppose OAPs starting at 65 is normal. 65 being the retirement age in the UK (or so it was)
  22. Did you never consider doing the 80 miles or so to Carlisle to get a ticket? Just asking
  23. It's a video game, I can kill 2 dinosaurs and 3 ghoulies with one shot of my exploding bolt cross bow on Tomb Raider, completely irrelevant.
  24. Anyway I would have thought that United's greatest attribute was the road roller like pressure that they put on defences (and midfields) by their continuous change of attacking formation.Kaleidoscope formation, that's what Utd play. Anyway I don't know if you all follow continental football but Bayern Munich have complained to their FA about the state of Schalke's pitch. They say they keep it like that on purpose to slow the game down.
