The priority has to be a new team manager. Wilde is the club chairman as well as the largest shareholder and it's entirely his call. The board changes can wait.
-
The fact that Wilde left well before the end of Saturday's match suggests that he is just as worried about team performance. Even the die-hard Lowe supporters are now conceding it's time to try something new and for Wilde not to do so is surely inviting administration.
-
That viewpoint would be valid if we were comfortably mid-table but we are not.

Sometimes I wonder if Lowe actually cares anymore and really does believe there is no other option. It wouldn't surpise me either if he gets some form of perverse pleasure from upsetting the fan base. To take a trip to Scotland on the day of a critical home game is ****-taking of the highest order.

Rupert's chronic flatulance had not responded well to treatment.

The overall balance looked better on Saturday but James is a liability, the defence is still being caught out by a quick mobile forward line and the service to the strikers is almost non-existent. Add to the mix that Barnsley looked altogether a fitter and more physical outfit and it's clear (to me anyway) that there is still much to be done. Make no mistake, Saturday's was a fortunate win and a good result is needed on Saturday if any new found confidence is to be maintained.

Not blind, just one dimensional. Could be though that he has seen the light. We'll see on Saturday.
-
It's more the (lack of) quality of service to the strikers that was noticeable today.

A bitterly cold day and second best to Barnsley for much of the game but 3 points is 3 points thanks to KD who saved Saints time and time again when it looked as though Barnsley must score. Saeijs added much needed strength to the back line but seemed a little clumsy at times. Saga was fairly anonymous and the Dutch passing game wasn't much in evidence until the last 5 minutes. Still, the team at least tried to compete and if 3 points can be gained next week all is not yet lost.

If Marek doesn't start tomorrow then JP really is clueless.

Andrew's comment at the AGM ("There’s very little we can do other then what we are doing") suggests there is little to be gained by him becoming chairman and allowing Lowe to revert back to full time coaching.

Derby's Chairman quoted in the Times: “There is an element of risk to turn to a manager with no experience at this level,” Pearson said. “We feel we have a squad of players that is underperforming and needs a man-management style of confidence and belief building in them. The club is at the right time for a younger, bright manager to come in and shape the squad and shape the club, who understands this club, wants to take it forward and create his own legacy.” Clough ticks all the boxes.

If Ferguson can talk openly about not wanting to humiliate us then that, IMO, is as embarrassing as it gets.
-
Isn't he on a low wage (£50K?) with big bonuses for promotion and progress in the FA cup?
-
United might have scored 10 amd even then the scoreline would not have flattered them. It was about the most one sided game I've ever witnessed and against a second string team playing exhibition football.
-
Spot on!
-
Some might call that denial. Failure to gain at least 3 points from the Barnsley and Doncaster games will surely sound the death knell for this crazy experiment.
-
No question about it. That type of career theatening tackle has no place in the game. Straight RED every time.

The fact remains that the money was raised on the basis that Ron could not afford the bilateral hip operation which was also the impression given by Ron's video of thanks. This does not now appear to be the case as the newspaper article states quite clearly that Ron moved to Albuquerque because the operation there would only cost him $800 per hip! I have no problem with the £10K raised by the GITR appeal being used as the committee sees fit but I cannot deny having a slight sense of unease about the whole business.
-
Little more than an exhibition game for MU's second string. Embarassing really and if Rooney had played the full 90 minutes it could have been in double figures.
-
Not sure what to make of this ... "When I got my left hip replaced it should have cost $60,000, but the way it works here, I only ended up paying $800. And I'm getting my other hip done next month," says Davies, who qualifies for state help in both the US and the UK because of dual citizenship. No mention of the £10K collected by the GiveItToRon appeal. Maybe that was spent on a new set of teeth.

Nobody can argue this is any great surprise except JP himself maybe and that just about sums up the whole situation. The downward spiral continues apace ...
