Tis true but with all their wild boasts they raised hopes and even promised jobs.

I can't see Lowe or Wilde doing that in a month of Sundays. Wilde in particular must be feeling the pinch.

With the "total football" experiment floundering (well with Wright-Phillips back in the team thats hardly an endorsement) and a relegation battle in front of dwindling crowds looming, perhaps now is the time Mr J Fulthorpe should make a public statement on the takeover position which he was telling all comers was imminent as long ago as the Spring. I gather only the other day he was still telling people it is still on but frankly even those who profess to be his friends are now laughing at him and ruefully shaking their heads. With 14000 crowds and a bottom 3 position not to mention the credit crunch making banks nervous I really fear without some sort of investment we are in serious serious trouble. If Fulthorpe really turns out to be the prince of tyre kickers and the fans continue to be apathetic...... well it doesn't warrant thinking about. Anyone else like to hear from Fulthorpe? Even if to tell us its all gone boots up.

if you want to be taken more seriously (and you do have interesting things to say) you would be prudent to drop the "Lowe is God" angle as it adds nothing to your gravitas.

Nice sentiments but it was this laissez-faire attitude of not caring what was going on in the boardroom which in 1997 allowed the reverse takeover to become reality. And that was the beginning of the slide. And to say you don't care what division we are in is a little frightening. I don't expect you vote either.

It may not matter one jot to you who is in our boardroom but I would suggest the fact that most of us thought along those lines when the reverse takeover happened and that is one big reason we are in the crap we are.

A lot of mates who all bought seaon tickets with me when first moving to SMS have all trickled away now. Some are just depressed by the last 4 years, some hate Lowe with a vengeance, some are disillusioned with football in general - I am starting to think I only go now out of habit. It is good to see the kids perform and the football is better than it ever was under Burley but I don't think it is going to get us anywhere and I am convinced we will never have a settled side because as soon as anyone look half decent they will be off.
