Arguably we'll still in a better place than where we were in the summer of 2014 to attract and recruit a high calibre candidate.
  2. No doubt, ALWAYS_SFC would have something to say about some of that.

  4. Where was Stephens?
  5. Would you take £12m for Long - what we reportedly paid for him?
  6. £50m doesn't necessarily get you a world superstar. Perhaps it might have got you a James Beattie, if he was playing today, since you seemed to rate him higher than Mané IIRC
  7. Joe Scarborough is right: Trump is a daytrader on political crack, happy to trash the presidency and constitution for a short-term headline. And to think Comey was praised by Trump for his bravery, independence and forthrightness in handling the Clinton email investigation. Hope the c**t is forced to eat every single word of praise for Comey when explaining his decision.
  8. Bit of a strawman- you don't need be Messi, Suarez or Neymar to go for more than £30-38.5million.
  9. Fine, if you're conceding your first post was complete and utter tosh. Think you have some work to do...
  10. You lost me with your first unintelligible post (your response to Jonny). Simple point is the French pay more in tax, as measured by the country's tax-to-GDP ratio. That's predominantly accounted for by much higher social security contributions.
  11. Try again. You're still making no sense.
  12. Still no better. Trying looking at tax-to-GDP ratio and the structure of tax receipts which is what people usually do to get some basic sense of countries respective tax burdens.
  13. I don't think I've ever seen a country's tax profile presented like this. My dog could make a better stab at things. Did you a module at university on this as well?

  15. We were linked with Denis Zakaria last summer - wonder if that still has legs.
  16. Why's that?

Wasn't he a golf pro (if you count playing locally and running a shop) whereas Glasgow is a Walter Mitty amateur?
  18. Is that under Koeman's entire reign or just last season? How many of those are starts? Hasn't Targett started league games this season? Why isn't JWP included?
  19. Would be a huge coup if we kept him another season, even if he's still under contract; but just can't see it. CP's quotes don't change that assessment.
  20. Not necessarily. He might be saying that we've improved on last season because we've given young players a chance (which is one way of measuring success but obviously not the only benchmark). Either way, finding insight and clarity in Puel's pressers is your proverbial needle in a haystack.
  21. No reason why we couldn't have set up defensively while showing more composure and quality when we did have the ball. It is a misconception to think the two are at odds with each other. Forget creating chances, let alone nicking a goal, we struggled to do the offensive basics right - far too often we gave the ball away cheaply and hit aimless long balls.
