The Southampton Goalkeeping Crisis Flowchart
Saint Fan CaM replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
One thing is for sure, Adkins was seething about the keeping situation on Solent interview. -
This is a really tough one to call - normally I would call a Saints win for this game at home, but with Lambert possibly out we'll could get beat 1-2. ):

Mmm, last time we played then Saggy was at the helm. Mmm, seemed we all loved 'Arry then!

Are we finally in a position to keep our youngsters?
Saint Fan CaM replied to washsaint's topic in The Saints
Dear oh dear - some people on here seem to place football players in some kind of fourth dimension world! It's no different to you or I - sometimes you find you like working for a company so much, that it would take a daft amount of money to make you even consider a move to another company that's an unknown quantity. Of course in football, if you are playing in the Prem then there's even more attraction as the money and perks are higher etc. etc. Contracts are not really worth too much these days and the power is in the hands of the player. To answer the original poster - yes, of course there's more chance of us keeping our youngsters - if they want to stay here that is. If they don't then they will move on. The club will not resist a bad apple moving on because solid team building and 'together as one' is at the core of the culture of the club. -
Saints 2 Newcastle 0 - Post Match Reactions
Saint Fan CaM replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
Superb result crafted by an all-round top team performance. Everyone worked their socks off today with tough determination and then switched to silky smooth passing mode when we got the ball. We should have won by 3-4 goals, especially given JRod was not offside when he scored. One massive negative was the Ref - several appauling and completely wrong decisions that I don't think I've seen the like of anytime - not even in League One! -
I was absolutely convinced that the Beeb would do the usual thing and put the Chelski / Citeh game on first - pleasantly surprised to see they appreciated the quality of the display Saints put on today. We LOOKED Prem class right across the park without a doubt.

Poll: Is liking the chairman important to you?
Saint Fan CaM replied to St Marco's topic in The Saints
He's backed the most important manager in his business. He's presided over a two years of increased sales. For the most part, he's quite content to let others do the talking for him. He is focussed and doesn't take **** from anyone that might divert him from his goals. I would say that's a pretty decent list to be going on with. Unless you've got an agenda of course. -
Good for them - but why 11th minute?

The people has us linked with ex Chelsea boss.

Got to say, as much as like Adkins, this would be a fantastic appointment. A significant jigsaw piece in pushing the club forward to bigger and better things. -
Poll: Is liking the chairman important to you?
Saint Fan CaM replied to St Marco's topic in The Saints
Could not give a toss - I'm unlikely to meet him and even if I do, he's unlikely to become a significant part of my life. What does matter is how the Chairman is running the club and treating the supporters. Currently, the only issue I've got with the club is the poor level of information on the OS have regarding what's happening at the club in general. For example, why not have a bi-weekly or monthly update on Staplewood progress? Apart from that, we could be in far worse hands TBF. -
Well...are you?
-
The way things are shaping, this could be a winnable game. However, they will have players coming into contention that might decide they want to show their worth and have a stormer. Difficult to call - if we turn up - pressure them on the ball, keep tight at the back, we could get a really important win. Massive confidence boost for the team to win against Pardews boys.

His is not the Southampton way. Not good enough.
-
Looks like Puncheon will be getting a lot more game time now then. Stats don't lie and it would appear that he has stepped up to the plate, which is nothing other than terrific news for Adkins and Saints. Long may these types of review continue. In Shaw we could have the RB Clyne equivelent. Just need to sort out CB positions in defence.
-
Look, we haven't got enough spare dosh to keep the paper towel dispensers in the gents full throughout a home game - how in God's name do you think we've got enough wonga sloshing around to pay Beckhams over-inflated wage demands?! Madness reigns again.
-
If we pick up another 4 points before Xmas I'll be impressed. I'm easily impressed by the way.
-
I like Lee, however I would prefer his squad place and salary to be taken by a player that might offer something better in defence or even in midfield. We simply have too many forwards when we're crying out for more quality at the back.

this!

Thanks for the photo MLG - I hate to moan, but what a pity the club don't keep us up to date with progress once in a blue moon. There is so little information about the behind the scenes stuff now - just dreary same old fluff from the players or Nigel.
-
Old news regurgitated by a poor newspaper shock horror. It would be easy to say it helps them sell copy, but somehow I doubt it.
-
They are on a little wobble at the moment - good time to play them, however they have an impressive midfield and frontline (if Ba/Cisse both start). It might go 2-2 perhaps, but if we're strong we could get 3 points. Need to be very disciplined though.
-
I thought he did an OK job here, but nothing spectacular. Ignore him. Get on with supporting our lads 110% - it's all about Saints.
-
Can't believe this for one minute - not the type of signing I would imagine our club making TBH.
-
Yes superb result - very much needed, however QPR were poor value for money and Reading winning reminds us that clawing our way to safety is going to be a mammoth task still. Need consistency - that is all.
