Pulis would struggle to get into the ladies side. FACT.

Strange. I didn't think Lallana was that delicate - the start of the season is still a way off, so to say he will not feature is quite some statement. Hope he recovers well.
-
Strange isn't it - a quite original theme to a thread and it has almost entirely transformed into an 'Alpine slagging moment', thanks largely to Alpine. After reading through that diatribe I can't find the enthusiasm to respond to the OP. Probably why many don't bother posting here anymore.

We paid £1m for Lambert and £250k for Barnard I think. So £700k for an established CCC level striker at his age I think is about right. Do the deal - he will get better in our team also IMO.

The Official Summer Transfers and HCDAJFU Thread

Benjani is not the type of player AP would sign IMO so I don't believe that one. Tyson is a possibility, although like Pilchards I cannot see him coming here to warm the bench. He might be a good alternative to Lambo and might strike up a great partnership with Connolly or Barnie, but frankly I would be concerned with upsetting the status quo. Having said that, competition is not a bad thing even for the likes of Lambo who might find himself having a bit of a slow season. -
What we couldn't see was the huge giggle AP had when he mentioned Pulis' name.

Greatest hope for this season?- That Pulis never gets near the 1st team Biggest fear?- That Pulis does get near the 1st team i.e. on the bench Most important player?- Not Pulis Terrace favourite?- "F*ck off Pulis you piece of garbage" Keep an eye out for...- Pulis signing for a non-league club Player you'd happily drive to his next club?- Errr....Pulis? One change you'd make at your club?- Any teamsheet that has the name Pulis on it. Have we got the right manager?- Absolutely What advice would you give him?- Sell Pulis as soon as possible and in the meantime, send him to the Staplewood groundsmans store for a 'long weight'. Which team do you most want to beat this season?- Plymouth in the 1st game (a) to get the season underway and (b) to dispell the myth that we never win the 1st game Opposition player you despise?- Anyone who chops down one of ours Opposition player you secretly admire?- The one that disables Pulis while he is sat on the bench and for the rest of the season. Where will we finish?- 2nd...or 1st if we get a couple more quality players in.

Football as a whole will not be the same without the genius that is Pulis. It will in fact be somewhat more....better. A lot better.

We will amass 93 points this coming season. HTH.

Not just feasible - highly likely I would say.
-
There would be no problem with Murty coming back on a PAYPlay deal if he gets fit again. He was a good RB for us and could do a good job of cover for the next few months actually.
-
Spot on the money there - very good! (:

Must admit, this time I was a bit shocked at how long it took for the news to filter through to us. The info though sounded like it had come from a privelaged source prior to his hospital treatment and therefore perhaps Saints were waiting until after that event?

Not sure why there's a need for a duplicate thread TBH... http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?23818-Frazer-Richardson/page1 Merge 'em Mods?

where have all the foreigners gone..?

Very key to longer term strategy - not too long before the bubble bursts. -
Have worked from home for quite some years, however I visit clients 4 days/week so those days are just like a normal work day. I find that if I try to do work in my study I am often distracted by my home PC with Saintsweb and 'boys toys' such as my guitars/keyboard/drums etc. So if I have a serious amount of stuff to get through work-wise, I find setting up my 'mobile office' in the conservatory to be much more productive. Like the video says, it's important to set yourself little goals before doing anything else - even making a drink....i.e. "if I finish these expenses, I'll make myself a coffee". Basically though, I really look forward to my 'office day' at home - much less stressful than a day earning.

I think this is a good signing whether Richardson was injured or not TBF...loads of experience, although perhaps his pace is a bit flat now - we'll see. I think it would have been wrong not to have had proper competition at the RB slot. Well done AP.

Congrats on the new born. I know a couple of guys with very small Dicks. Does that count?

Oh dear. Foot. Mouth. Extract. lol

All the ITK'ers have been rounded up and buried under the new ticket machines. HTH.

I think Alpine has made a reasonable point and doesn't deserve the abuse frankly. I think many of us could say we are perhaps a little disappointed that we've not signed players to key positions already when we see other teams like Weds getting their men. But then they've not been in this division for a season and honed a 1st eleven team such as the one we've got (and indeed added to). So yes, I am a bit disappointed that we've not heard anything so far. However, there's another three weeks to go before we need to concern ourselves and I feel sure we'll see the gaps being filled. What gaps are there though? I don't think we'll see another RB as Harding has proved himself more than capable at RB and LB. At CB we've got Seaborne and Martin as back-up and so I don't think we'll be adding to that. At CM Wotton is not enough, so I do think we need a quality box-to-box player. At RW and LW we've got AOC and Holmes as backup, not to mention Mills who could do a job at LW. In terms of strikers, there's just the possibility of a Lambert stand-in and I still think that might happen. So I think that if we see anymore signings it will be a maximum of 2. Or perhaps 3 if the Richardson rumour concerning his dislocated shoulder is true.
-
I found this particularly encouraging and interesting...Holmes it would appear is putting his career back together and showing he has something to offer. I don't believe he's a make-weight for Lines - much more likely that he is being lined up as a supplier to Barnard and Lambo and I reckon we might see him predominantly on the right wing, but he has the ability to cross with both feet without cutting inside always. Technically he has what it takes - just needs to prove his fitness. Perhaps he was given the opportunity last year to have a quiet season to recouperate - the tackle he suffered was pretty awful TBF.

Brings a lump to me throat every time I see those vids. Just a little reminder about what a class act this club is in a fantastic City. As residents and supporters we are blessed. Good OP/thread....bring on the new season!

Suspect there's more to it than first meets the eye. Can't see how democracy can be upheld when relegated teams are not going to bite the hand that feeds them.
