Am I the only one who couldn't actually care less about the league cup? I am glad we played some youngsters and gave debuts to some nippers. Rather they played in a meaningless game like this then in one where it really counts. Sure it would of been nice to get to Wembley but in terms of importance I think most (not the trolls) will agree priority = League--------Fa cup-----------------------------------league cup.

I agree. We should stop celebrating when we score too as its not fair on other fans. We look like right ****s for doing that. When they score we should all stand up clap and say well done too.

As long as I can watch them I don't care how many others go. I really don't get why some people put importance in it. Plus I would hardly say Swansea, Palace, West Ham and Sunderland were 'attractive games' as Turkish tries to imply. When the bigger teams visit it will be sell outs. And this thread will vanish until we play a lower team then it will be bumped by one of the usual suspects.

What a load of bull****.... The whole Porch not wanting to upset players thing is what gives it away. Who would he be upsetting? Ward Prowse and Chambers who seem to be the sub's used most of the time? West Ham game we only made 2 sub's. I doubt the youngsters need to be kept happy. It would be players like Ramirez who don't seem to be coming on as a sub recently. The thing that makes me laugh is that the same old faces will believe anything.

So Kraken as they have asked, when does a dead ball situation become open play again? Obviously a penalty remains a dead ball until saved or scored. But what about corners and free kicks? If the ball is touched by another player then surely that means it is then in open play? If not then how long until it is open play again? You may laugh at what Marco said but he has a point. The definition of dead ball means returning the ball from a stationary position. When it has one trajectory and then a second/third/fourth is that still a dead ball situation? As pointed out above all goals start from a dead ball situation at some point. Could be a goal kick, a throw in, a free kick from your own half and so on. How many touches/how much time must pass until it is open play again?

Looking forward to Kraken's threads when we sell out games. Or is it only the ones that we don't that are news worthy?
