I went for all of Germany 2006 ... mainly camped with a few hotel stops to break it up. Also go to most other England games when I can. Will be in Turin end of the month & probably Slovenia, Ireland, San Marino. Undecided on Lithuania. Will be in France - not decided how I'm going to do it yet. Prob go back/forth for the specific games I want/can get to rather than repeat Germany (spent a fortune on that one).

This isn't really new, surely. A lot of other mid-table Prem clubs have had similar happen to them. The days of long serving players sticking by a club because they "just want to" are long gone I'm afraid. Did anyone here honestly think Clyne would become a modern day MLT? He jumped ship to come to us, I'm not surprised he's thinking of doing the same. So be it! Toby isn't ours in the first place - so why anyone is getting their knickers in a twist is beyond me. Yes, he is a CLASS player. But it's well beyond our control. So be it! Morgan has gone about his business very respectfully in my opinion. Again, he clearly isn't a modern day MLT. He'll go. So be it! This club will carry on regardless. We'll have some **** players, we'll have some class players. They will all come and go. We will have good season, and bad seasons. So be it!

There's loads of words which fall into this category. They get casually used and the majority of times are not intended to cause direct offence to the literal meaning. Mong, retard, gayboy ... even bastard. (no doubt the swear filter will block some of these - can't be bothered to try and cleverly circumvent them) I think my point is, most people put things in context and don't get offended. If someone chooses to take offence, then that's up to them. I don't think it's against the law to call someone a mong though. Lets not try and liken this to racism.

I may be in the minority here, but I think Elia has been OK. It's not the sort of match for any new signing to really shine through - high tempo, delicate, quite physical. He's held his own, shown some nice touches, etc. Could perhaps do a bit more to drop back & support Bertrand in getting the ball out from the back ... but it's only been 45 mins. That "gelling" will come. Having said that, I can see the benefit of bringing on Long or Tadic and it would probably have to be for Elia.

Would be nice if Stoke/Palace got something from their respective games .... but I can't see it. Think we have to assume Arse/Spurs will win. A point tomorrow will be an excellent result based on todays results.
