Been to the 'Big Easy' quite a few times, stayed once at Chalmette just down stream from the city, right on the site of the Battle of New Orleans. in 1812. Us Brit's lost that little argument to Gen.Andy Jackson. Flights from the UK go via N.Y. and Atlanta, - among other exotic airports.

Just as a point of interest Saints now have the ability to field players from 14 different nationalities

Prediction: FIRST PREM MANAGER TO GET THE SACK?
Eastcowzer replied to Glasgow_Saint's topic in The Saints
Don't think Pardew will walk and give up the compensation. Remember he's on an 8 year contract and has'nt finished the first year yet. -
Are people more interested in Wednesdays international now?
Eastcowzer replied to ozzmeister's topic in The Saints
Poor mis-guided chappie. England LIVE, ! More like dead men walking IMO. especially when shown by ITV. All adverts and waffle - and Sky is not much better. -
A fair summation, What ever was in Adkins mind when he made Lallana. Ist Team Capt' certainly did the player no favours. A better choice would have been, as suggested, any of the midfielders, my preference being Steve Davis afterall if he's good enough to skipper his country then he's good enough for Saints. Leave Lallana to play his game without any other distractions. Amen.

St Ed, You are the second one to ask,(in 10 postings), so I'll be the third one and hopefully get a reply. 'WHEN IS THE PROGRAMME GOING TO BE BROADCAST'

Hope the weather holds out then this whole pantomime will finish on Sunday. If not will have to go to B&Q and get another pot of paint, open it, and watch that dry. BBC now in over-drive. Thank God Sky have'nt got their grubby little hands on the rights. We'd be having 24 hours repeats. Oops, sorry, we get that already from Sky don't we with Football, Cricket and both forms of Rugby..... and Movies !

Anyone received their season tickets by post yet
Eastcowzer replied to terrasaint's topic in The Saints
My Season Ticket as just arrived today. and presumably I am not alone. If the size of the postage parcel, (from last seasons effort,) is any thing to go by then next season Pickfords will be delivering 2014-15 -
The 'who's been rejected for season ticket finance' thread

Has anybody got their Season Ticket yet. I certainly have not although the Club were'nt slow in deducting the money from my bank account. -
Southampton's 5 Best and Worst Transfer Signings of the Past 15 Years
Eastcowzer replied to Rebel's topic in The Saints
Surprised no-one has mentioned dear old Ulrich van Hubble. He certainly put himself about a bit with the opposition forward line and later attracted the attention of the Dutch police. Should he be included with the plus-es or the minus-es. The choice is in your hands -
This will damage the FA's finances with no 'Fergie' to shout his mouth off and pay his regular fines

Should'nt forget Justin Fashanu, Colin Boulton, (Derby County), Jim Montgomery, (from Sunderland), Chris Woods, Tsu-la Ling, from a Dutch club, on trial, only made one appearance, I think !, and of course there was Ali Dia,

Well said Dellman, He, too, probably would not have survived without Ted Bates behind him. Inflicted with 'dondopedology' i.e. Opening his mouth and putting his Grenadier Guards foot in it, or perhaps with his brain dis-engaged. Let's give MP a chance before we start criticizing, we who are so perfect

Don't recall hearing a whisper by the clowns of the BBC with regards to the horrendous tackle that led to Luke Shaw being carried off. I suppose that would be because he was a Saints player, but nevertheless looks like he will be laid up for two or three games at least

Well done, son, you've obviously earned it, but it also goes to show that England managers should get out more, instead of being ,buttered up. by the so-called ' Big Four' or Five, whichever. They'd be surprised how much other latent talent is available in the Championship, instead of playing donkeys with Geordie accents
