Very true, after all its only been 3 games. Ill still judge the incomings after tomorrows window closes and will start judging this season after 10 games

This is adrian, what he says is gospel despite seemingly being miles of the mark for most of his 'knowledge'
-
There certainly are some utter planks on both sides of the fence tbh
-
Is it weakening ? Aslong as we keep morgan and cork Im not entirely sure its particularly weakening imo. I imagine he was brought in as the club hedged their bets on a CM leaving. Shame as he looked a good player, but ultimately somethings gone wrong and he doesnt want to be here any more, plus RK isnt enthused about him. I dont think this is one to beat the club with tbh. Theyve done enough wrong over the summer but ultimately this isnt a position I was ever worried about
-
You really think we spent it all upfront too ?
-
Shame looked good
-
I cant get enthusiastic about Clasie, not due to his ability, but because its not a position we need to strengthen.

At the 3rd annual naval cook convention they did fancy dress. Jaimie went as captain birdseye.

Its not exactly a facepalm is it ? They've hardly drenched themselves in glory

Agreed, Arsenal was terrible but... Sometimes if you warn keepers to not hit it long they make stupid decisions. And yes, Stoke was a freak goal really. Apart from that I think he has been excellent. And right now I dont see him being much worse then Forster if at all. As much as its the right decision to have your 10m GK as no 1 I think ultimately not phasing his takeover was a bit of a pr disaster. It wouldnt have hurt at all to allow Forster to 'win' his position, regardless of the discussion we had with him to bring him here

Whilst Id love this to happen, brand EPL is already tarnished, Scudamore wont allow it to be reduced aby more under his tenure. Plus Im not sure of the legal implications ? But yes, if possible I think it should be Fifa that impose the issue on all leagues.

Whilst unfortunate I think Boruc is one of those that you wont get away with a hard stance of no, I get the impression he'll just not play and go on a vodka fuelled bender. Its a shame really, the situation could probably have been handled better but ultimately it comes down to two things; 1. Was it the only way to get Forster in ? To be No.1 ? Probably 2. Was Boruc' preseason aptitude good enough ? Its concievable he couldnt be bothered. I wont get into previous outgoing policy, realistically we should have acted with more backbone, regardless of unhappy players we shouldnt have let the number we did go, its naive.

Exactly, they also need to decide who the main striker is, and stop attempting to press gang in sturridge and rooney etc in a similar fashion to the way they tried to squash Scholes, Lampard and Gerrard in a midfield together thus effectively waste 3 very accomplished attacking midfielders. Ultimately the failings are with the FA who I genuinely believe (conspiracy alert) do more than 'encourage' the inclusion of certain big name players in the squad. As well as a succession of poor managers who, as previously discussed, attempt to fit a system around players rather than deciding on the players that best fit an accepted system. You also cant look past a lack of technical coaches. Its no surprise that the majority of decent coaching staff in the prem these days are foreign. You only have to look at the numbers of grass roots coaches here compared to the european super powers for that. Obviously there is the PL issue, and ultimately the vast amounts of money available for success. Having worked amoungst coaching circles when I was younger, and now do bits and bobs here and there, there have been imprivements, add to this the EPPP and extra astro pitches being bought I think that the future is looking brighter. But looking at the lack of depth we have in the England squad right now shows up the issues we have in those areas are very real.

Fortunately an England squad that includes a host of young talent(ish) however that is pretty much were the positives end. This has to be the weakest england squad I have ever seen. Poor options at CB, though its good to see Stones and Chambers in there. Rose is pretty weak but ultimately he isnt too bad, its a shame that Bertrand Clyne have missed out. Clynes started the season exceptionally so its a real shame he didnt make the grade. Midfield is ultimately woeful. Colback and delph are about as inspiring as a toilet brush. Hopefully one of them will be able to do a better job then Henderson could at DM but ultimately I still think Cork could get in there, if he was getting more game time at saints. Even the striking options are poor, Lamberts ok, but he wont make the next euros, nevermind world cup. Welbecks not the answer, Rooney never seems to perform and I just dont think Sturridge is very good. Still, we needed to start somewhere and theres some biggish injuries in the squad.

Capital One Cup 3rd Round Draw - Arsenal away

Thats that done then -
I think its a sad indication of events that a certain number of officials decided (agree Pap sickeningly) that they could not act on what appears to be systematic abuse of over 1400 human beings who will now have to live with not only the torment of the ordeals but realistically (and potentially more damaging) now they will be damaged by the knowledge that this abuse was known however was not acted upon. Whilst this is tragic, and tragicly worse that, as Pap has said, officials put their career and reputations over the welfare of those they are looking after, you have to not overlook the fact that clearly there was a social concept that meant they had enough fear to enable them to decide that it was a reasonable way to act.

Whilst you concentrate on making yourself look a bit of a tit clearly ? Not entirely sure where your vitriol comes from here ? In the whole S-Clark speaks a fair about of sense
-
Could always get Puncheon on a free ? He wont last long at Palace
-
Which would be undeestandable really. Im hoping for no more outgoings and a reasonable signing out wide (we were willing to dump 12m on townsend) any more would be a pleasing bonus
-
I agree I think its a case of 'we wont do business unless you do' in which case I hope its a firm no and move on from us. As far as poch is concerned, has he turned into a poor manager that did nothing for us now then ?
-
I can kick the ball in the other direction when looking forward... Does that count ? I dont always mean to btw
-
I still think we definately need two, ultimately Id be dissapointed if its Clasie, that sounds strange as he is a cracking player but ultimately he comes into a position we dont necessarily need another body. Id much rather look at grabbing a CB/RB cover (or just offer Cork a contract) and get someone out wide to help stretch games and provide some width/crossing ability for Pellé and long.
-
It could be worse, he coukd be his fellow dutch counterpart. Spending the best part of 200m on an injured LB, a very overpriced CM, a wide player for a formation that doesnt play conventional wingers yet deciding that Jones, Smalling and Evens are a good enough defence to challenge top four Im not going to start on playing young and mata etc as wingbacks As far as Koeman is concerned, his recruitment hasnt been too bad. Realistically it will always be difficult to convince players we were a good option as well as trying to be prudent(ish) for wages etc. outgoings have been poor but is that really Koemans fault ? Realistically Id of said we may have been able to go for the likes of Alderweireld etc should we not have sold our better players, selling the club to them right now must be difficult.
-
He is looking for options, Im pretty comfortable with the idea that Andros could perform better than he has shown in a Spurs shirt. Whether the price is large is redundant really, its pretty much the going rate for an englishman with an england cap. Id wholeheartedly agree however that if the discussion in any way involves Morgan (with the exception of saying he isnt for sale) then we are crazy. There are other teams out there who would take 12-15m for a reasonable winger

Ignore this, wrong end of the stick
