I hope so, it would be madness to lose any of our spine. Cook would be a great signing. TBH with Chambo starting to look like he can do what he does consistently then it may just be to get someone in as backup (if there is no-one who can better what we have) I think we perhaps need a CB if Adkins does not believe that Martin/Seaborne are first choice.

Happy new year bestie Hmm, or Pugh, he scored again today. In the main we need to keep hold of our players, not losing anyone would go a long way.
-
And then we have w*nkers like Redneb and Saint_considerably_richer that go on their forum and chat utter boll*cks. Which never helps.
-
'Like we give a **** about them' And then make a thread and write on their boards ?? TBF i wish them well, they have cash and have a new stadium on the way, why shouldn't they be optimistic ? We certainly are optimistic about our future ? Sure we have had more reletive success then they have had but we are both very much in similar situations right now and they are playing well. They are localish i suppose, do they have any real local rivalries like our close relationship to Pompey ? Plus we can come across as a bunch of arrogant pr*cks, i too think we should be performing in higher leagues, its not really arrogant but considering the cash we have spent and are spending and the leagues i have seen saints playing in within the recent history then yes, i expect us to be playing in a higher division.

TBF, i suppose what i said was a tad arrogant. I would have liked to have signed him, but there are other options out there. How did Harley play today ?
-
Lol, Yup, Puncheon, Guly and Morgan are utter crap. Get shot of them. Same old crap.
-
We need to sign him, he makes things happen and if he carries on we won't be as desperate for a striker as i thought.

NYE is pretty much always a major dissapointment, i have tried the local pub, London, the Opera House in Bournemouth, the working mens club and also a mates house party. House parties are always the best way, a decent night with the mates and a few drinks, everything else i have tried i have either been wandering around trying to find a decent venue or spending far too much cash. Xmas Eve is always a better night out.

May have been a major part of things then, the boxing day fixtures at clubs are also pretty big money spinners traditionally. I don't know if they had any games called off previously ?? If they had a couple of games called off then with no income coming in things may have got a little sticky down the valley.
-
Nailed on. I also thought about the financial situation, what is the situation down there at the valley ?? I know earlier on in the season they were quite desperate.

It is not D'Urso's job to ensure that the pitch is in playable condition which includes the outlying areas in which his officials will occupy, it is however his job to judge whether or not it is in suitable condition to ensure the safety of the players and staff. He obviously decided it was not, i said that a small portion of the blame should lay at his door as it was called off very late but then i have no idea what times officials arrive at stadiums on match days, i would not imagine he was there hours and hours before and if he ways i would imagine he would have called it off earlier, if not he should have. Of course it is Charltons fault, they would have inspected the pitch the day before and knew the forecast, they could have made a decision then but they didn't, instead they left it and made mistakes, in their defence a little it was probably touch and go in which case they should have called the FA and arranged an early inspection. They cocked up, the pitch was not ready for whatever reason. Perhaps 99% was ready, but D'Urso has not the authority to put it back anymore than 30mins or so. How can you not see the point i am trying to make ?? Please pray tell what you don't understand in my post ?

Sod of, its completely Charltons fault. If the ref has called it off then surely the Charlton ground staff were well aware that potentially it could have been called off. It is their responsibility to ensure the pitch in its entirety is ready for the game. Personally i think a small amount of blame should be at D'Urso's door however he has a duty to ensure the area is safe. It is up to Charlton to prepare it.

Fallon is at Ipswich now i think ? Edit - He is on loan
-
I am on about noone, i hate BWP and yes despite his recent foray of goals i still think he is gash
-
Brighton have not bought him yet, and at 250k its a decent fee, if i were adkins i would stick a bid in, and then sell the clubs ideas. Surely we are a better bet then Brighton unless he is offered 1st choice football ?

Ryan Harley, Pilkington, Pugh. Any of them would be good signings and realistic(ish), Pilkington may cost a pretty penny. Unless we can pinch a player from the championship. We do need an extra body in that can play on the wing. But its not an absolute necesity. We defo need someone that puts the ball away in some regularity though, thats been our downfall this season. We create enough but are just not clinical enough, unless someone found Lambert his shooting boots from the back of the shed. -

The games a saw of him when Harding was out i was very impressed. Don't get me wrong i watch Harding and he seems a brick wall at times and is commited but Dickson is still growing and developing, has bundles of energy, decent pace, gets up and down well and defends well. He also IMO crosses the ball as well as anyone at the club. He perhaps deos not work quite as well with Lallana as Harding does but IMO thats because Harding is first and foremost a defender and Dickson enjoys his forays forward (but in his defence he ALWAYS seems to have the energy to get back again) -

I like him and prefer him to Harding. I remember back to the Plymouth game and wondering how nobody was able to get on the end of one of his crosses. I like the lad. -

Definately a strange one. The way i see it is that he is not the finished article, nor is he probably as good as many on here think, but at 50k he is a steal and strengthens a position that we have been crying out to strengthen for over a season. He gives us different options and is a commited ball winner. I certainly couldn't think of many players that CDAJ as well as he could, at his age and this level for as cheap as we have got him. He sometimes is not the best passer, he is sometimes a bit rash, but what he has got is passion and we can hope he wants to play for the shirt and play to prove a point. Great signing IMO. Now we need a striker and if Puncheon doesn't want to return a new wide player. -
Uncomfortable player meetings......

Used to have a kick around downstairs in Flemming Park when i was at Barton Peveril between lessons every now and again, Jo Tessem walked in once, on his own out of the blue and had a kick around and chatted to him for about half a hour or so, he was a top bloke. My main hatred of B.T appeared one night in Jumpin' Jacks, he always seemed a big headed sort but one evening around the time of the cup final we were in having a drink and Bridge walked over and asked if he could scab a fag of a mate, we had a chat with him for 5 minutes and were having a good laugh when Beats walked over and nicely said 'What are you talking to these c*nts for' and dragged him away, Bridge said 'sorry lads, and thanks' and wandered off. Was at a night round a mates apartment it ocean village once, all having a drink up, didn't know the lad that owned the flat i just turned up with a mate of a mate, low and behold Ludekvam walked into the living room with just a towel round his waist ****ed up. Was pretty funny looking back. The most embarassing was one night walking out of Icon p*ssed up i walked passed Paul Smith, i walked up shook his hand and told him how he was brilliant and played really well today. He laughed at me, humoured me and i walked off. I only realised what an idiot i was when my mate told me what the score was, we had just lost 5-0 to Man Utd. -
Although i previously said that in 90% of cases i try hard to buy higher welfare meats and animal products however in some situations, yes, i fall prey to the easy and somewhat widespread cheap meats that are available. I am not perfect. I will never ever however go out to intentionally maim and cause terror, pain to a living thing as IMO that makes you sub human, we are beings of reason and apparant intelligence however if you feel it to be perfectly acceptable for some jumped up c*nt to gain pleasure from causing pain to another living thing then i would suggest you need to have a long hard look at yourself and your values. And with Dune we have the perfect example of a f*cking moron. Shame aswell, i thought Delldays was a little misunderstood but his arguements on this thread are baseless and he is coming across as a bit of a heartless idiot.
