Players can play for teams on a loan basis regardless of the two team rule. I think the two team rule comes in to play when talking about players registrations, however if he moved on loan with a view to a permanent deal that would be allowed according to current FIFA rules. That being said, i can't see him going anywhere, Newcastle are not in the best of states financially, and we have no need to sell and are by all accounts gunning for the playoffs, so why on earth would we sell the leagues top goal scorer ?? As for what people say about Lambert in CCC and prem, i have my doubts, on a few occasions this year i have seen him dominated by big centre halfs and that has pretty much taken him out of the game in a long ball sense. However this is more the fault of tactics, surely if we are not hitting him long ball, go to his feet ??

I really hope stocky does not get disciplined for what was a stupid thing to do. It could put the transfer at risk and also risk him taking fines etc at his current club. Some people need to realised that information given privvy to them needs to remain as such, there is no harm in saying things on a forum such as 'i have it on good authority' etc etc but actually posting stuff like that is stupid and arrogant. And as for the post earlier (can't remember who it was) i agree, i have been reading a lot of teams message boards recently and we have an increasing number of arrogant Tw*ts posting and trying to wind up other fans.

I would love this to be true but i can't see it being one of pardew's main departments of improvement. As a team we score bucket loads of goals with a fantastic attacking potential, if you look at the games, the squad, the results it is obvious we are leaky in defence and with that sorted we can push on. I am over the moon with the fonte deal, would be ecstatic if we managed to sign a RB, a DM and perhaps another CB. More attacking players are an extra imo.

Wow, this is an amazing show of ambition for the club and a fantastic signal of intent. He is exactly the player that we needed for the club, and exactly i feel what we needed as fans seeing this sort of statement being made after the years of asset stripping we had to endure. My mouth is watering now, there must be more in the pipeline and i can't wait to see who it is, i seriously think our playoff push is still on !!
