  1. I'm not sure Swansea will make a move. They've given a new contract to Ferrie Bodde and Pratley says he'd like to sign a new deal, so I should imagine it's unlikely. Cork would be brilliant alongside Schneiderlin.
  2. Well on Meridian it will be Pompey with that tw*t Dinenage on there.
  3. Fantastic news. Is a class above on and off the pitch. No harm in keeping him on another year like Jaidi.
  4. Can only think Holloway's bitter comment was because of a dislike for Saints? We absolutely played them off the park that day and was our performance of the season imo, they, minus Matt Phillips, were sh*te. Maybe he doesn't like us because we stayed up over his Leicester team a few years back? Who knows. He'll deservedly get the stick back when we play them.
  5. Oh that's a shame Holloway....yes, Premier League you really are having a laugh!
  6. We shouldn't be 'scared' of anyone next season, if we are, we'll finish a lot lower than we want to. Despite that, I think Huddersfield will be tougher.
  7. Grant will be gone then - he's so over-rated. Massive clear-out because of the stupid wages. How much of a threat they are will depend on how quickly they change things this summer. They'll still be a threat to go straight back up if they get the right manager in.
  8. Highs -Listening to the Brighton game and going mental when Fonte's header looped in. -Genuinely believing we may go on and beat Manure. -Barnard's smashing into the net against MK Dons to spark wild scenes. Lows -Rochdale (H): thought there was no way back for Saints after that. Woeful. -Walsall (A): 'One of those games' -Might sound silly and not bothered looking back now, but at the time - Hernandez poking in after Dickson's mistake. Jammy b@stards!
  9. They haven't even sold the 1,700 tickets, 100 are being sent back to us on their coach tomorrow apparently. I know they aren't a massive club but not selling their allocation for such a huge game for them is beyond belief.
  10. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/13282216.stm Worth a punt?
  11. From that list of free's, I'd have: -Wade Elliott -Kevin McDonald -Jay Bothroyd (wouldn't happen) -Adam Matthews -Aron Gunnarsson -Kieren W******d -Neil Danns -Bradley Johnson -Kisnorbo/Naylor -Darius Vassell -Robert Earnshaw -Guy Moussi -Peter Ramage (back-up?) -Darren Pratley Possibles: -Ferrie Bodde -Heidar Helguson -Craig Fagan -Adam Matthews -John Akinde -Steven Thompson
  12. Clever ploy to sell more tickets for the game at St Marys I should imagine, not that Adam doesn't deserve it. It'll be the full England squad within 3 years
  13. 1) Stability on and off the pitch. 2) Consolidate, mid-table...push for play-offs a bonus. 3) Keep our key players together and build a squad good enough to challenge the top 2 the season after next. 4) Finally a year we will actually want a good cup run...will be sods law we go out first round in League and FA Cup!
  14. West Ham, Reading, Forest.
  15. Just trying to get attention. What's there to fear?
  16. Yes that goal at Brighton was annoying (couldn't see that coming ) , but we need 1 more win out of two games against two sh*te teams so hey ho...we're doing we have to do and another magnificent win. Huddersfield just don't give up do they the buggers
  17. Butterfield is way better than Richardson.
  18. Radhi Jaidi - Yes - One year deal as a player/coach and he'd be used as a back-up. Fantastic this season. Dan Harding - Yes - Gets forward well and has experience in the Championship. Danny Butterfield - Yes- Even if not first choice RB, has a couple more years in him yet imo. Oscar Gobern - Yes- Has impressed in cameos this season and is finally being given a chance under Adkins, one year deal as a back-up. Aaron Martin - Yes - Still very young and has potential, would complete a strong centre-back line-up if we bring a prominent one in for alongside Fonte. David Connolly - Yes - Pay-as-you-play for a year? Certainly still has the class to play at least a handful of games if needed. Wouldn't be surprised with his injuries if we let him go however. Anthony Pulis - No - Why we haven't released him already is beyond me. N'Guessan (loan) - No - Not good enough to play week in week out in the league above. Dale Stephens (loan) -No -See above.
  19. When you watch the extended highlights of our games on SaintsPlayer, you can see that Lambert is involved in nearly EVERY goal we score. Although peeling wide is sometimes frustrating, he does it so well because he can pick a great ball out. I think he'll be fine next season if(when) we're in the Championship, just one more top striker in and we'd be pretty sorted up top with Barney, Lambert, Guly, new striker and possibly Connolly although I should imagine he'll be off. Barnard being out was a blow but David has come in and been brilliant. How many other side's in the league can lose one quality striker and bring another who's total class? Because Brighton it seems were not themselves without Murray when he went off Saturday at the Withdean. On another note, watching some of yesterday's game back, Connolly and Lallana were just majestic on the ball despite Hartlepool's attempts to mark them out the game, the later especially. It might not be as entertaining as under Pardew but we've got the results we've needed without any off-the-field issues(dealt with the Puncheon saga well) and Nigel's just kept his head down and got on with it. I reckon come promotion and that last game at Walsall, he'll just explode with relief and joy after being fairly conservative in front of the interviewers all season. Will be fascinating to see how we play and who we bring in for next season, and although we aren't there just yet, I already can't bloody wait.
  20. Adkins: "Calm down, you're on the bench next game as well." Or "I want to shake your glove willy ;)"
  21. Was funny one of them saying: "Brighton don't lose at home, they'll still win this". And: " They keep grinding out results - arrogant ****s".....
  22. Their first shot of the bloody game as well.
  23. "I'll keep chipping away at your face in a minute" Bad I know...better one's please....
  24. Interviews now up. "How's Richard Chaplow looking?" ...Adkins: "He's looking bald actually" LOL
  25. Simon Williams - Official Saints Site Editor: "Disappointing night but wasn't confident of getting much. arriving just 15 mins before kick-off possibly a new and unwanted record #saintsfc" Probably didn't help (^) but still a poor showing. For god sake Saints just get us out this sodding League!
