Revisiting 06/07 - no, really, it wasn't all bad

We were one of the best teams in the league going forward that season , just needed consistency. Was f*cking gutted after that Play-Off semi. -
Taxi for Barnard? Jesus f*cking christ

Why doesn't someone just bloody ask him , surely he knows when he was born?!

Charlton V Saints,1st half & halftime chat...

LOL at them thinking we'll catch Brighton. -
Wide pitch so Lallana and Chamberlain are vitally important - get them on the ball! May as well go for it seeing as we don't have a game after this for 11 days , attack them from the off and get a goal and the lead going into half-time. COYS

You can now rate him : http://rateyourref.co.uk/team/Southampton

The bloke in question was in The Farmhouse before the game and looked like he'd had a few too many even then which probably explains why he throttled saintscott.
-
Was atrocious , every time one of their players went down he gave a foul.

Having been to quite a few Reading games this season , Howard's not up to the speed he used to be but he still has the technical ability it's just that Reading restrict him by making him sit back and not play the free role he would here.
-
Luckily it's in our hands , because relying on them losing would be like relying on Michael Jackson to complete his O2 tour.

I see we are still playing as individuals and not as a team , no wonder Brighton and Bournemouth are up there with their spirit. No change from last season - still can't win away to the sh*t teams. We'll be playing MK Dons in the play-offs I bet...will probably lose on penalties..... Taking N'Guessan off instead of one of the useless (tonight in Chaplow's case) two Cm's or a defender is beyond me. No excuses any more. -
Had to lol at that , what f0oking game is he listening to ?

Does football coaching at my College and all the lads I speak to say he's a really nice chap

Let's not get too down , yes it sounded pants for 90% of it and it's 2 points dropped but it's an extremely tough place to go as Brighton have already proved this season , and we got lucky not to lose as they cam very close a few times. Could have been a lot worse tonight if other results went against us , which yet again they didn't and Bournemouth only drew again. Just gotta get behind the team because they're going to need it knowing our record against Swindon , win and all will be well again. I'm not over the moon about a draw tonight either , and we should just focus on 2nd place now because we won't catch Brighton. At least we still have 3 games in hand on Bournemouth as only need 6 points from those to go ahead of them (on goal difference) , so 7 points from those 3 at least would be good. Get behind the team and note to players - Get the ball to Lallana and let him do his magic! -
What's he doing in goal FFS?!
-
Martin Taylor? Yeah he is a bit big , dealt with Long well though. Kebe's been off-form all season , last season he was brilliant and unstoppable. Reading fans now boo Robson-Kanu when he comes on ahead of Antonio , and McAnuff was ineffectual all game , bad enough when you consider Watford had some 17 year old at Right-back playing his first game! ...played very well btw.
-
Also went to Reading v Watford - yawn-fest of football on show.
-
Fonte , Hammond , Chamberlain and Lambert were the stand out players really , the rest were pretty average. Need to up our game against better opposition though , a team with a better quality than Carlisle may have got something from that yesterday. Forte was bloody quick when he came on , will be good to use him as an impact player when things aren't going well or we need a 2nd goal. Suppose at least we got the 3 points , gained some ground on Huddersfield and would have been criminal not to win with Brighton and B'mouth doing so. Rochdale are doing well this season , should imagine Lallana will come in for N'Guessan but no excuses if we don't win.

The club should dedicate the win to him and his family then. R.I.P
