The known way of dealing with stress is to focus your actions on what you can affect by them. Things that cannot be changed by your actions are therefore a waste of your time and energies, leading to stress. Simply walk away if you feel that stressed. Although that's easier said than done because Saints are a morbid obsession!

It's a name, and allegation, given to the matelots by the inhabitants of Portsmyth. We were told this by a Havant dwelling DJ who worked at our local pub in the early 70's. Us Eastleigh lads then adopted the term 'skate' for any inhabitant of Portsmyth. The term, for us, has been in use since about '74/5.

Well, I've seen you post a lot of sensible comments in your time. Of late I have noticed an edge to your posts. This may be because you are frustrated by all this going on. I can understand your feelings because I'm feeling them too. So why do you have to start slinging insults around because that is normally not your style? At this moment in time there is no other alternative to Pinnacle. Who knows for sure if any others are going to step up to the plate when they see the full implications of what the FL want? I believe that you are a business man, if things don't go your way in your line of work do you shout and harangue like you have just done? Or do you quietly try to get the job done and if it can't then withdraw with good grace and style? You are, like all of us, entitled to your opinion. Not a criticism, just an observation as I'm seeing a different GM of late.!

I like the reference to the 'newspaper' doing their own investigation and not relying on hearsay. Is TL referring to our local 'newspaper' (loosest term applied if true) and if so I wonder where they got their 'facts' from? All this would be unbelieveable if it wasn't our club involved!

I have come to a difficult conclusion. If I was a man with money and wanting to save Saints and I encountered the sort of agreements that the FL are allegedly asking to be signed I would have walked away from it. What a terrible and demoralising thought to have.

If that was the case then I think that in all probability I would not be able to continue with the agony.

Where is this chapel? Is it modelled on The Vatican City's Sistine Chapel? Or is sisteen a corruption of sixteen? Which, when counting, is not far from nineteen. Which leads me to ask of the whereabouts of one of our more esteemed WUMs?

I believe that this is the sticking point. SFC are NOT in administration and therefore are not able to, let alone DON'T NEED to, arrange a CVA. However the FL, to all intents and purposes, see us as in administration. So they will expect us to arrange a CVA. If we don't then they have the right, their rules remember, to further penalise us. Which is why they don't want us to have the option of an appeal. The way out, my simple view only, is for Pinnacle to agree no appeal BUT depending on the FL acknowledging our peculiar circumstances and not expecting us to provide a CVA. Which then would negate the FL from their, my perception only, dedicated course of wanting to hit us with a further points deduction.

Just read the article and that was my immediate impression. Anyone investing their money in football knows there are no cast iron guarantees. I really am concerned that MJ and whoever are going to bring more of the same old same old to the table and this club could find itself in L2 next season (2010/11) and probably in administration, awaiting another purchase.

TBF Mark Fry is doing what Begbies pay him to do. He's looking for the best deal for the creditors. At this moment in time the Pinnacle deal is still the best placed to move forward. However, as you point out, things are not running a true course at this moment. He's not giving up on Pinnacle, he's probably done all that he can so rather than sit on his hands he's doing his job.
