  1. Yep, good idea. Also removing the # I added in a moment of madness. Can also confirm through a contact who's knows the snappers at The Sun that this will get photographed. If the Sun pick up on it, others will too, it certainly fits a narrative. All the more reason to do it right. I'm off on a stag do this weekend, will aim to get the final agreed banner + a funding site set up next week. Right now the only image created is the wonderful Powerpoint version I knocked up in 2 minutes. Any suggestions on decent type fonts etc helpful, I used AgencyFB as it is pretty high so fills up the space well when using a lot of characters. I think using an image should be avoided, unless someone far more talented than me can do a silhouette version similar to the Leibherr flag. White font on a red background, trimmed in black. Thanks for all the feedback, looks like more than enough contributors to make this happen.
  2. Daily Echo have said he took this out as an alternative to an interview. That says it all IMO, the gutless rat didn't have the bottle to be questioned so took the easy route and paid a few hundred quid for an ad full of words written by his PR team. How anyone can think this is a good gesture is beyond me! Edit: Just seen the advert. Frankly it's appalling.
  3. Gobsmacking you're comparing this to Dean Hammond's departure. When Deano left for Brighton did he say that when we played Brighton, deep down he dreamt he could play for them one day? Lallana is a desperate rat, willing to refuse to play for the club that made him, helped his heart condition, made him captain oh, and paid him £60k a week - £3m a year for 5 years. You saying that's not enough to set his family up for life? How much is, £16m, £20m, genuinely interested what number you'd put on it? He isn't worth £25m to us either as Bournemouth get c25%. Anyway, feel free to fall for the words his PR team have put together for a proxy £500 Echo ad, I'd prefer it if he'd done an interview with the Echo, that way we'd know the words were his. Unfortunately we will never know as he took the easy option.
  4. That's a serious piece of kit, I like it. Probably cheaper than the Italian site I was on earlier that quoted €150 for 1m X 8m.
  5. #BadgeKisser is going on it in the corner. CityRanger, I do believe you know your way around graphic design? I'll set up a donation account tomorrow and properly research costs etc. set up a poll to determine message (almost certainly "CLATTENBURG WAS RIGHT" in white on a red BG trimmed in black with #BadgeKisser in small font in the corner).
  6. That costs about £500 these days. Worth holding out for his loyalty bonus so he could stretch for that!
  7. If you change your mind let me know as we're doing a whip round for a **** off banner implying the polar oppo of your post mush. Up the Saints!
  8. The "Not For Sale" banner reminds me of the MUFC NOT FOR SALE Anti Glazer march, that was widely ridiculed because United were exactly that - for sale. As are we it seems. This would be strictly aimed at that sly rat, Lallana. As for sounding bitter - yep, that's pretty much how I feel about it right now. If it wasn't the first game of the season it probably wouldn't be worth doing, but too big an open goal to miss. Anyway, in true advertising speak "no ideas's a bad idea guys", the more the merrier. My **** poor powerpoint effort can easily be improved on.
  9. Fair point... Although maybe rather than anything AL related, bring it back to the club. #UpTheSaints
  10. Don't see why it wouldn't get let in, no swear words, not inflammatory and doesn't mention anyone except Clattenburg by name? Anyway, plenty of creative ways to get it in (as the bin dippers to good effect with their AMF protest last season) Anyway, my hasty 10min lunchtime attempt: [/img]
  11. Looking on European Ultra sites, you can get a 8m x 1m "fence flag" for about €135 (delivery an extra €13 per 10kg). So 15-20 people chipping in a tenner each and we should be there. Easy enough to do? For those that believe turning the other cheek and ignoring him is the way to go about things, hey, no problem no need to donate we're all Saints after all, this is about the more vocal amongst us creating an image and demonstrating in a non offensive way they we think he's a c*** in front of the World's media.
  12. Good effort this too!
  13. Yes, I agree. FTF's suggestion of an image of a Ref's arm holding a Red Card is decent to go with this for extra visual impact. Not inflammatory, no swear words, doesn't even mention Lallana by name so no reason to ban it. Anyone here half decent with photoshop that wants to take a break from designing kit ideas and do some mock ups? Then get an idea the cost for something like this - Barmyflags maybe? The bigger the better IMO. Will need to be unfurled right at the front of the Anfield Road end as the players come out and if he's brave enough to take a corner in front of us. Guaranteed TV exposure. What's the chances of Clattenburg getting the gig for this? 10/1 I assume ;-)
  14. The fact is, there will be a few that will print out "LALLANA IS JUDAS" on A4 paper in a light grey thanks to the protester's grey scale print quality settings (probably the same bloke that got the hanky out at Poch's first game), Sky/ BBC/ National Press will be all over this (just as they did with the hanky bloke), they will expect to see a backlash, as do I. If there are going to be banners there, for once let's work together and do it properly. All well and good saying "let our football do the talking" - believe me I want to win to ram it down his throat, but as fans we should be able to show our anger at the way modern footballers are completely taking the ****, I mean threatening the club that made him with going on strike? By all means wave a finger and mutter "you little scamp Adam" but someone treating my club like that gets me pretty angry. If Lovren goes yeah I'll be annoyed at him too, but Adam was our Captain, our leader and the representation of all that was good about our club - talented, technically gifted attacking English player with a good attitude that had been honed through the ranks. I loved watching him play, his first touch is the best of any Saints player I've seen. That's what makes it worse, the lack of class and lack of respect.
  15. The comments from Lallana have ****ed me off, along with the news he refused to play for us again. The fact we have him in the first game is too good an opportunity to miss making a statement not only to him personally, but also the media etc as we are guaranteed to be on Sky/ MOTD etc. Only 2 clubs in our Division do banners that don't look like they were drawn up my 40+ yr old nutters with crayon, prit stick, unlimited supply of flimsy cardboard and a rent free living arrangement with their parents (think Chelsea/ Benitez protests) and that's the Scousers and (loath to say this) Palace. Would be good if we could produce a banner with a decent, short, succinct message that shows not only our contempt for the way he handled his exit (clearly done with no respect, dignity or class) but also the fact Lambert left with his head held high and we aren't bitter about every player that leaves us. As I say, needs to be properly funded, not a slap dash piece of **** - I'd be happy to contribute to a Pal Pay account set up by someone here with decent design skills. As for a message, I'll get the ball rolling: LA LLANA - YOU COULD HAVE BEEN LA GOD Image of Rickie - LA LEGEND Image of Lallana - LA RAT You get the idea...
  16. Was there not a jury in the trial then?
  17. That already happens (see half of Chelsea's U21 Squad and their loanees), this is good for a club like ours, players know if they sign pro forms they are likely to play, and get chances in the Premier League and at International level. Otherwise they are welcome to become the next Chelsea/ City/ United/ Arsenal "prospect". If I was them (or more importantly their parent) I'd know what I' recommend if faced with the option.
  18. Not that you'd know, living in Glasgow, or Alpine living in his asylum, but a fair few of us that go to every game rate the guy. He is clearly very talented and after recovering from his injury was a victim of the success the lads that were starting every week were having. As I say, you need to go to games to appreciate it, but when he plays and gets on the ball there's a buzz about the place. He loses it quite often, the same idiots that moan about that also moan that Cork "only passes sideways" - he's a risk taker. At Saints we've always had a risk taker or 2, I love players like that. I'm pleased we bought him, good to see my ST money go towards a player of his obvious talent, if Lallana goes a lot of responsibility will be on him and he'll need our support. Luckily the stadium has more people like me that get behind our lads than keyboard nutters like you that get a semi from re registering on internet message boards posting 1000's of times a day in a futile attempt to wind people up you've never met in real life. Up the Saints
  19. Bournemouth away on a Friday night in the middle of summer? Yes please, booking that day off today. Carnage!
  20. Good post fella but your Target/ Shaw comment way off the mark. My cousin is in the youth team, same age as the lads you mention. Believe me, never in the last 4 years has Target been mentioned (internally anyway) as on Shaw's level. Injury or not. Target is a prospect, always been seen that way, but Shaw was destined for the 1st team from 14/ 15 years old. Target still has time to develop, but from what I know if he becomes anywhere near as Luke I'll be surprised (but very, very happy).
  21. Fuming. He has been our main man as we've risen up the leagues, he deserves the chance to play for his boyhood club, the bloke will always be a hero to me. BUT, bending over like this for a poxy £4m+ add ons (roughly 10% of the extra Prize money fund) is an insult to paying season ticket holders. I renewed today, but then our board (and every other on the league) know what we do we do without rational. Idiots the lot of us. Slowly we supporters, the lifeblood of the game, have become a group of people treated with contempt by players and club employees. I'm gutted, I feel powerless and know the players and boardrooms that control OUR game havn't got the first clue how it feels for a normal bloke like me that pays a huge chunk of money for a ST and plenty more on extras through the season, feels when their club gets picked apart by vultures. For them it's "business" for us it's more than that. But hey, we are the mugs, we pay the money, we shout, scream, swear, cheer and moan for 90 minutes, take that through the week and pay for the privilege whilst they make tens of thousands a week whilst looking for their next deal. I'm not tlking about Rickie here, I'm talking about the lot of 'em. We're mugs, we give a **** when we shouldn't. But we can't help it. I'm off to get drunk. Up the Saints
  22. I find the whole 9/11 conspiracy b*****s an insult to the families of those that died that day. I watched the whole thing on the big screens at the Daily Echo HQ when working there. Never known an office full of Journo's go so quiet when that 2nd plane hit. A good mate of mine was working for BGC and was on the phone to the NYC Office when it was all happening, says it was the worst thing he has ever had to listen to. Let's have it right, the nutters claiming this as a conspiracy are calling the US Government, Emergency Services, families, witnesses, airlines and God knows who else liars that have somehow, in this age of data management/ traceability, kept it completely quiet? Mental. And, as I originally said, a ****ing insult.
  23. A good mate of mine fitted the bathrooms there. Sorry to disappoint people but apparently NC was a top bloke, his missus sound and easy to work for and he was paid on time.
  24. Absolutely, the reason the Championship relegation pitch invasion turned nasty was the constant "stay off the pitch" messages and worst of all, bringing the dogs out. That suddenly got everyone angry and turned a good natured pitch invasion into something pretty lairy. The following season was my last foray into the Northam. The whole stand spent the entire 2nd half singing "on the pitch, on the pitch..." etc, booing the PA announcement then at the final whistle, when a hundred or so do run on they boo them and call them "w*****s". Made me realise the Northam is full of all mouth no action muppets, season ticket moved after that. Up the Itchen!
  25. Real Casuals don't do "banter".
