  1. Watched the game on line great result keep the momentum going, a little to close for comfort at the end.
  2. Not such a happy thought, three members of staff were made redundant yesterday, one in the shop, one in the warehouse and one in the office.
  3. There must be a bed with your name on it in a certain ward at the RSH.
  4. I think some of us got carried away a little on the build up to this game, turn up and come home with three points, I went for a 4-1 win so I am guilty as charged. To come back and draw after going 2 down is a great result in the past we would have folded and lost by 3 or 4. If we can win our home games and draw away we should be in a good position come May 2010.
  5. Trousers, some people will only read what they want to read and make of it what they want. I agree with Duncan there is a void between the past and the future that needs to be bridged and is the fault of no one at all.
  6. Or His name is Ronnie Davies He's the leader of the team The greatest centre forward That the world has ever seen You can always rely on him to score a vital goal And as for (enter name) you can stick him up your hole. La,la,la ect
  7. Yorkie is Bob coming down.
  8. Don't remember anything about it only what is in the history books, it was a fith birthday treat stood on The Milton with my dad, stayed on The Milton till I moved to the Bike Shed, then to Upper West Centre.
  9. IMO the main problem is that the most vocal support is not behind the goal as it was at The Dell, if you look at most other clubs the Kop is behind the goal.
  10. David I am 55 my first game was in 1959 so I am no that old, (waits for abuse from certain posters)
  11. Talking of Bobby Moore anyone else remember when he cleared the ball hit the ref and knocked him out picked up and blew the whistle and stopped the game. Also Eric (Cinders) Martin came for a cross foot raised and took Jeff Astle out of W.B.A.
  12. Apart from some mentioned, one my all time favourite players would be John (Big Jake) McGrath. I see Derek Reeves is mentioned in one post, my first game was 9th October 1959 we played Swindon and won 6-2 and he scored 4, if I am wrong in any of the details I'm sure FF will put me right.

PNE are short of money make them an offer around half a million and they may just take it.
  15. Took my pint back yesterday and got it changed along with a number of other people as it was off.
  16. I remember a few on here wanted Ince as our manager, thank feck we did not get him.
  17. They all went down just a touch on the easy side.
  18. Worked for Syds back in the 60s, if defenders have to double up on him it will give Lambert and Co more space in the middle.
  19. IMO a better option than Papa.
  20. Long ball, um, slick passing and from the training ground for two of our goals, question for you Mr Ince did your pre-match team talk tell your players to go down at the slightest touch.
  21. My only concern is can we keep the loan players Antonio looks as if he could be a gem IMO.
  22. Connolly is to have x-ray on a elbow injury.
  23. Just home and I have a nice warm glow, we lost our way for a couple of periods in the game but all in all a good all round performance,
  24. I think this could be a game of twist and turns with to win 3-2.
