It happens sometimes - to teams of all standards. Ask Arsene Wenger ;-)

Are you talking about hockey, rugby or football now?

I have my doubts that Fonte would have reached the ball anyway. I thought so at the time, and watching the replay doesn't convince me otherwise.

More Echo bashing?

Just got back - what a slog that was (the match and the long drag back in the fog). Fantastic that we ground out a result like that at last on a pitch made of grass cobble stones. N'Guessan had a decent game and Hammond certainly made a difference when he came on and they narrowed the game up. Impossible to generate any sort of atmosphere in the away end at St James' Park so we had to make do with abusing the lino.

Perhaps it is just me, but when I see Saints fans saying things like that (especially to fans of other clubs) it makes me want to gag

Mmmm, at 11.09 the Sky Transfer Centre had a story entitled "Chamberlain to stay at Saints". Now it has been deleted! Read into that what you will.

Is this a combination of "beggars belief" and "begs the question" ?

In their opinion of course....they could just be talking out of their arses. Judge the player by what you see personally.

I didn't see the programme before reading this thread....now I have, I agree with those that think this is a load of hysterical nonsense (although the video clip was slightly curtailed so I may have missed something).

Oi - speak for yourself! :-)

It was ON ON ON in the 70's and 80's and 90's, so why change now?

You told a porkie on yours didn't you?

You made that bit up!

I need some clarification. Do we have to read this entire thread before starting all new threads, or do we only have to read it once and then we are free to start as many new threads as we like? If the latter, I suppose we can always come back to this thread (presumably it will be a sticky) if we ever forget what it says. Also, how is this going to be policed? When a new thread is started, will we get prompted to confirm that we have read this thread first - like a "Terms and Conditions of starting new threads" thing? If you don't have something like that, then you could get a situation where people start new threads without having read this one first - and that wouldn't be fair on ST holders.
