I think that sort of abuse is unjustified. I was at Fratton last time when we stood in stuned silence and I've been to enough Saints away games to know we struggle to create an atmosphere more often than not. A few thousand of us at Bristol City failed to create much. I like going to watch Saints away, but I'm not going to fool myself into thinking we're going to sing all these new songs. Chaplow was my MOTM. Aside from one fluffed attempted trap, he was great. Lambert also put in a top shift. Fonte did a fine job on Robinson, who was a big presence up front for them all game. Saints were better in the first half, but the second hald was nicely balanced. We played well, but I reckon a draw was a fair result.

Withdrawing my support for the England team would not be a strong enough stance. I'd have to move to France.

My junior team was forcibly moved from a strong league to a weaker league and lumped into the second (bottom) division for under-12s. Our final stats for the season were P 22, W 21, D 1, F 217, A 1. The results included a 30-0 and a 31-0, both against the same team. That was in 1996. I'd have thought things would have moved on a bit by now, but maybe they haven't.
