Callum Slattery - Official: Signs for Motherwell
Dr. Kucho replied to SuperSAINT's topic in The Saints
The Dutch second tier is League one/league two level. The football is very poor, except Jong Ajax (Ajax reserves and youth). The Graafschap are trained by Mike Snoei, who last season was the trainer at Telstar, who had Seagar on loan. Snoei must know someone at the club. I’ll keep an eye out for Slattery and check the local paper, if Slattery signs that is. -
Local Dutch media are reporting that we had scouts in the stands at the Ado Den Haag V RKC Waalwijk match. Apparently we are watching ADO Den Haag forward Crysenscio Summerville, on loan from Feyenoord.
-
Hoedt sent of with a straight red card in the 8th minute.
-
I doubt Hoedt will leave us, he is more likely to let his contract run out. The wages at Antwerp will be a fraction of his wages here and according to fans from Antwerp, he’s decent, but nowhere near special. I think the Belgium league or mid table Dutch league is his level.

Saints v Spurs NYD - Build Up & Match Thread
Dr. Kucho replied to John Boy Saint's topic in The Saints
Take off Redmond and Djenepo around the 70 min mark and bring on Obafemi and Long to hurt them with pace. Vertonghen and Alderweireld arent getting any younger. -
Liverpool will listen to offers for Nathaniel Clyne, could we he do a job for us again? Don’t know how his time at Bournemouth went.
-
German media reporting that Werder Bremen want Vestergaard on loan till the end of the season.
-
I don’t know if his name has been mentioned earlier in this thread, but how about Vitesse Arnhem’s left wing back Max Clarke? Vitesse bought him from Hull for around 400k and Dutch media are reporting Liverpool might be interested in him as a back up for Andy Robertson. Let’s bring him in and sell him in a few years to Liverpool for a hefty amount.
-
We all have our lists of players we would like to see joining us. But who would you sell to raise some extra funds? Aside from the senior players out on loan I could only think of Vestergaard I would listen to offers for.

Right, going to quote myself. A quiet day at work and a little google and social media search has revealed that Forecast now runs The Essex Goalkeeping Academy (TEGA). More information can be found on Instagram and he mentions that he retired 5 years ago from goalkeeping.

According to his Twitter account Kamil Kosowski works for a Polish sports channel. That’s him ticked of the list. Can I suggest a new name? Saints goalkeeping legend Tommy Forecast.

Not sure if we can call him an defector, but who remembers Jan Poortvliet? Nowadays Poortvliet is a postman in Eindhoven and coaches local amateur football club Nuenen.

I didn’t see the Red Bull link on Instagram, but suddenly everything falls in to place This is their game plan. Kat wants to sell up and Dietrich Mateschiz (spelling) calls Kat and says he is interested in buying Saints. Kat replies: the fans, city and everyone connected to Saints wouldn’t except that. We have to do it on another way. Mateschiz replies: I know this Chinese bloke who might want to buy the club, let him buy it and do what I say. Gao will do anything I tell him to do, he’s not sharpest businessman. After the takeover Mateschiz calls Gao. Mateschiz: listen Gao, first you keep everything quiet for the first year, play the waiting game with all connect to Saints. After 1 year I want you to sack Reed and Hunter. Then hire Ralph Hasenhuttl, I know him and I want him onboard. Next you remove Krueger and start moving coaches on we don’t want. And don’t forget, keep quiet on the transfer market, I don’t want players I cannot shift once we take over. In a years time the fans, players, sponsors everyone will be desperate for you to leave and that’s when we come in. Copy that Gao? I’ll pay you and Nelly handsomely for this. -
And the next manager will be sacked, the way it goes nowadays. Club should say to players, Ralph is our manager and he will remain our manager. You don’t like him or don’t want to play for him? You can leave. That way the club makes a clear statement and hopefully some players will leave (for the right price that is).

What has happened to Smallbone? He played most of the pre season and now seems to have disappeared.

AZ Alkmaar are generally doing a good job recruiting players and managers on a budget. Their DoF is Max Huiberts, might be worth having a look at him. -
Ralph has made poor decisions this season. But look at the players he has to work with and his budget. The damage that what done after Koeman left will take years to repair. We need stability at the club and can’t keep changing the manager. And for people who say Ralph should leave, who would come in and do a better job?
-
The senior players can f*ck off, there’s not a single player in this team I would be sad to see leave.
-
Lemina wasn’t in the squad for Galatasaray, who lost 1-0 to Real Madrid in the Champions League.
-
Let’s hope some Chinese or Arab club, with money to spend, hires Pellegrino and allows him buy Carrillo from us.
-
Let’s get things straight, this was utter rubbish and every player and member of the coaching staff should be ashamed. The problem is we have a poor squad and this will take years to change. Les and Ross are to blame for this and thankfully one has left and another might be going very soon. Once Wilson has left we have a opportunity to bring someone in with a short and long term vision. Someone who knows the world of football and has a good track record at other clubs. If I am correct we have an international break coming up. Might be a good idea for Ralph and the players to go on a training camp in the south of Europe. Get their heads straight, work on the problems on the pitch and come back fighting.
-
Yes I would! The seasons under Adkins, Poch and especially Koeman were great! We played amazing football and produced some fantastic results.
-
Who realistically would you want to replace Ralph? I would say he has made tactical mistakes at times, however look at the players he has to his disposal. Apart from Redmond, Ings, Bertrand and maybe Bednarek and JWP, our squad is poor. The Van Dijk money was spent on Carrillo, Elyounoussi (both out on loan), Armstrong (not a starter), Gunn and Vestergaard (both starters but not particularly doing a good job). Money has been badly wasted and this will take years and stability to resolve. Sacking Ralph would only make things worse.
