saint_stevo I know exactly what you mean about that half cast bird, she's half the reason I watch that program.

Brighton so chuffed at beating us they have made a DVD!
RedAndWhite91 replied to NickG's topic in The Saints
Thing is, we have DVD's for the 6-3 win over United and stuff like that. Not many teams put 6 past Man U. Brighton beating Saints 3-1 is hardly the same as us thrashing a 'big 4' team. Unless of course we are considered one of the best teams in England, which I am quite content with and they carry on making DVDs if that's the case. -

That's well sad. We've beaten 4 teams 3-1 this season, and do we make a DVD? Nooooo. Brighton need to get a grip. -
ITV is ****ing ****.

Fair enough, cheers for that bit of info. I been to Sheffield before so I guess it's much the same... I see that the Chuckle Brothers support Rotherham too! Interesting stuff... I agree with wanting Luton to get through though, think it would be a more interesting tie too.
-
Hahah probably, although I never been so I dunno what it's like. They are complaining about everything on that link. I don't even know where Rotherham is!

Must admit money is as relevant in football as playing is. Money meant we nearly went out of business, and then Liebherr's money saved us. Money bought us last year's top League goal scorer, and another club's captain. If it's not relevant I don't know what is.
-
To be fair, Rotheram fans seem to be bitter about almost everything.

Bring her home, she should have never have been allowed to leave. Time for Southampton City Council to take real action in promoting the city, and bringing back the QE2 would be a good move.

Haven't voted yet - I'll reserve judgement. Whilst I'd settle for mid-table this season, we can still push for the play-offs and in that sense there's no reason why we can't go up. Howeverrr, we got a real chance of getting to a Wembley final... So I'll go with JPT now as mid-table in the League looks likely.

Yeah well I reckon Pardew has had plenty of time since the last window to assess the squad and spot any room for improvement. A few things spring to mind... He already seems to be well respected in the football world (well, aside from Charlton fans) because he has lured top players here, like Hammond who was captain of Colchester, Lambert as well. Jaidi and and a match-fit Connolly could arguably still play at a higher level. The club itself seems to appeal as well, it all looks rather good at the moment. You only have to look at some of our results recently to know we got a good side, but yeah, a few more and we will potentially have a great side.

Wow.

Yeah that is true, and a good point. I think that we'll spend even more in January too..

Saints vs Rotherham or Luton - 3rd Round Draw Thread
RedAndWhite91 replied to Arizona's topic in The Saints
First heard it and I thought it was hardly awe-inspiring. Thinking about it, it should be a win, and so we'd go into the fourth round. Worst case scenario then would be getting a mid-table boring Championship team who would beat us. I also reckon Coventry will do Portsmouth. -
I thought of this at the start of the season, but I knew we wouldn't go straight back up. Just like Man City aren't going to win the League for a few years yet. Don't get me wrong, it's a brilliant thing to be a financial power house as TDD put it, and he's right. It's so nice not to have to worry about all the mismanagement and financial worries happening in the background. Bring on January transfer window??

Having Murty back is - as Dave Merrington would put it - a real booost.
-
Even when it does get lifted, I doubt they'll have millions to splash about.

There's only two days in a Premier League season that I want Man Utd to win. They didn't let me down today.

I've never got one

Can you go 2 hours without food or drink?
RedAndWhite91 replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
I'll never leave my seat before play is over, it's sort of an unwritten rule, but I definitely need my half time pint. I cannot for the life of me understand how people can leave when the game is on a knife-edge and could go either way in the last 10 minutes, however, it's up to them if they want to miss anything and it only takes a second to let them go past. What next, are people going to start complaining if someone goes to the toilet? -
Worst atmosphere I've seen this season and I have only missed a few games. Still, into the next round, can't complain.
-
I'd like Portsmouth home or away. If not that then a 'big four' team away. If not that then a London away day please.

You on a wind up?
