A goalkeeper shouldn't be judged on his shot to saves ratio. Primarily, a goalkeeper is able to see everything that is in front of him. If he can then organise his players so that he doesn't have to face many shots, he is doing a great job. This will mean that he will face the occasional shot from distance and the majority of shots from a distance where the attacker is favourite. There is no denying we are well organised at the back and Forster needs to take credit for this. He needs to work on reaching the corners of the goal at shots from distance but his general saves from shots ratio should not be questioned.

With the recent quotes from Birmingham regarding 'eye popping offers' and now the story of a rejected £6mil bid makes me think we're close to having an offer accepted. Any sane Birmingham fan has to see the club can't refuse more than £6mil for butland. If we now have an 'undisclosed' offer accepted the logical conclusion is the it's higher than £6million when in fact it might just be a little more up front and as speculated the rest as add ons. Birmingham happy. Birmingham fans happy. Saints happy. Saints fans?

So 4 minutes of added time were shown. The ref added time on top of this. Pompey scored on 93mins so the extra time had no effect. Also the same amount of football was played whether they'd been on the pitch or not. Made them look a bit stupid after the equaliser but you can't blame them for the goal...

Think he does have the natural ability to be a decent option in the Prem. Needs a lot of work. He came to us overweight and playing a completely different style of football to us. He's lacking confidence so given all of that I doubt he'll have much impact this season. Get him a proper pre season working with the rest of the team and I think he could surprise a few people next season.

Don't get too high, don't get too low. Poor performance but work hard in training and prepare for the next game. We're still in control.
