He helped secure 3 precious points when he scored the winner in the 89th minute as Leicester came back to win 3-2 against Aston Villa, having been down 0-2.

I was a big fan of Nathan Dyer's and his dribbling skills and was sorry when he moved to Swansea where he blossomed. Could never understand why he was never called up to play for The Three Lions.

https://www.goal.com/en/news/ballard-rise-arsenal-heartbreak-to-taming-haaland/12jme45vw23k1ifka2aaxhsfw Apparently this Arsenal almost-reject was considered by Saints Academy who passed up the chance to sign him unlike Tella, be interesting to see how he fares and if he eventually makes it as an Arsenal first-team regular.

Great read!

You must be of a certain bent to be saying things like that 😉

Pogba dove for the penalty that won the game against Aston Villa, and actually berated Luke Shaw for not diving earlier, can you believe it?

Mods, how about a poll: who cried better - Djenepo or Hasenhuttl?

My MOM was the ref, he was faultless!

I saw the slow-motion replay on TV and Ings had already completed the heading motion when he was fouled. How I wish, like you, that Ings was fouled during (not after) the heading motion, then we would have deserved a penalty, but that didn't happen unfortunately. Why didn't Ings protest loudly at the time? Why didn't our players surround the ref? Why didn't Ralph complain at post-match interview? Because it wasn't a pen, simple as.

Sir, I have been supporting Saints since 1976 so don't question my bona fides. You are, if I might say so respectfully, seeing through rose-tinted glasses.
-
I agree, just lump it into the box and see what happens. The surprise factor might cause confusion and the softest and unlikeliest of goals might have resulted.
-
No, Ings didn't see the City player's boot as he was heading the ball. Ings isn't a housefly that can see all around him while focusing on the ball. Ings had already headed the ball off-target by the time the boot struck him and caused him to fall. Hence he wasn't impeded, therefore no penalty.

https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2020/12/14/serious-player-southampton-loanee-produces-yet-another-outstanding-display/ Apparently he's tearing up the league with Rovers. What should we do with him when his loan ends?

Top right hand corner? Just curls in. JWP always seems to aim for the nearest top corner.

Salisu my MOTM, did very well to get on the bench.
-
Not the first time Armstrong has been caught in possession leading to a goal, Ralph should drum into him this isn't the SPL where you can lose the ball without consequences 😡
-
Could not agree more, SMH.

According to the pundits, Vestergaard was too lazy to mark the Wolves player whose shot came off the post which Neto eventually scored from.

Sir Alex had a system at Man U (no, not Fergie time), it was play like you're 1-0 down when you're 1 up a.k.a. attack is the best form of defence. How many teams sit back and defend the rest of the 90 minutes when Fergie's policy was to go on a rampage and hopefully score a second goal soon after scoring the first to leave the opposition shell-shocked.

Interesting discussion in the comments section about our Ralph and Man Utd: https://www.football365.com/news/mailbox-man-utd-win-everton-changes-nothing-solskjaer

President Trump has been the best president ever, I hope he wins the law suits and is re-elected.

Che Adams my MOTM.

In the comments, someone agreed with the OP so I thought they must know something I don't.

Bruno Fernandes has been described as the "Portuguese James Ward-Prowse" on Football365: https://www.football365.com/news/16-conclusions-manchester-united-1-tottenham-6-solskjaer-mourinho-kane?utm_source=vuukle&utm_medium=talk_of_town Anyone know what it means? Didn't sound complimentary in light of Utd's 6-1 thrashing by Spurs.
