How they haven’t given handball I have no idea. I was all for VAR in the prem, but it is a farce how it has been implemented.

Problem is Duncan is that our useless c*nty players don’t seem to like any manager they have. We have the same players who think they’re better than they are who are still here 3 managers later and we are in the same position where it seems to be everyone else’s fault but their own! There is only so much that can be done from swapping managers again and again and again where the problems are deeper lying - I don’t give a shiny sh*t what those disgraceful excuses for players think. As echoed by others on other threads they’re horrible and spineless. F*ck them.

What a dreadful team. Gunn, Vest, JWP, Hoj have all been shocking for ages. Add that to no real creativity apart from Redmond, it’s going to be a long afternoon... 3-0 Wolves.

On a different scale, but it is a similar issue to United, doesn't matter how many managers we have, the same issues are arising - which suggests it is an issue with the players, be it quality or their application. What the club need is a mass clear out of players who simply are not good enough for this level, which we saw in the summer is easier said than done with some of the horrifically long and expensive contracts they are on (thanks Les). Back the manager, yes he makes some strange decisions but we are not going to get any better than him. The issue lies with having a squad full of players who simply are not good enough or consistent enough for this level, prime examples being Hojbjerg, JWP, Long, Vestergaard and even Gunn recently.

I was at the game and I disagree. This season JWP has reverted back to type where he just stops affecting the game at all. No pace to get past people, even his mythical great dead ball deliveries don’t even find a red and white shirt. He had a shocker and played in 3 positions during the game and had a mare in all of them. Agree with the above re: slow midfield - the amount of times this season I have noticed Hojbjerg / Romeu / JWP pressing the opposition and as they are so slow the oppo just pass through them and then are bearing down on our shambles of a defence with our midfield nowhere to be seen! Squad still needs a big rebuild and we will be hoping to have 3 teams worse than us again this season. Roll on Tuesday, if we don’t have enough to beat a massively out of form p*mpey team, then I really will be worried.

Watford may have filled one spot of being 1 of the 3 teams worse than us this season.

He was awful, never have I seen a player put such little effort into a game (possibly only rivalled by Austin v Fulham away last season)

My point isn’t that they shouldn’t buy one. It’s more the fact that if they do, they should keep quiet and not celebrate - which is what causes the issue with the away fans in the boxes as they celebrate and rile up people in the Itchen North but the stewards seem to shrug it off and turn a blind eye as they and the club seem to adopt the same policy as you of ‘if they pay their the club the money they can do as they wish’.

Would be nice if they tried to do something about all the plastic Arsenal / United / Chelsea / Liverpool fans that appear around my seat in the Itchen North when big teams come to town ... complained last season to a steward as they were celebrating and got a shrug of the shoulders.
