I watched the budget and the response earlier. Ed Miliband is just useless.

Starting in half an hour. George Osborne masterminding our economy for another year, I bet we all can't wait. . .

Indeed, he's becoming one of the worst trolls on this forum

West Ham are not mathematically safe but Man U are. Even I think West Ham are unlikely to go down but you're repeating a set-in-stone comment that is factually wrong. And how intelligent do you think it is to claim that the probability of relegation is identical when comparing one club that is 6 points above the relegation zone and have lost 5 of their last 7 games, and another club that is 47 points clear and are mathematically impossible to go down? Seriously, if you dig yourself into a hole stop digging. As for claiming other posters are demonstrating just how spectacularly dumb they are when they disagree with you, not long after you yourself post crap like this http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?43653-Le-Tiss-running-his-mouth-off-again&highlight=trolling that's barely anything more than trolling.

Watch Defoe's goal when he chips it over Boruc earlier in the season and take note of just how far out Boruc is with his angles. He was no better back then than Gazza or KD. I don't get a few posts on this thread where people think just because he is somewhere near his best now it means he would have been when he had no match sharpness or fitness. But that was then and this is now. He's a completely different player now. He's in shape, match sharp and could possibly turn out to be our best keeper since Niemi.
-
Even when he was 2 stone overweight and had zero match sharpness? We tried that and he was no better than KD/Gazza
-
Apparently we have 88% possession after 20 mins

Decent and improving CB, that struggles at LB/RB yet is all too frequently played there

15. Sunderland 16. Southampton 17. QPR ------------------------------- 18. Aston Villa 19. Wigan 20. Reading

So they've extended Agyemang's loan from Stevenage. I thought Stevenage were demanding a hefty payment for him to be able to extend his loan, because of his performances?
-
Nope, He'll get a fine/community service - suspended sentence at worst.

Seconded. Pompey will do a job on them at the weekend unfortunately and they'll move off the bottom for a bit. Then the fans will herald the start of "the great escape", then as with all things Pompey they'll end their period in the "hope" phase and resume their natural place in the "kills them" phase of the season.

and now you've descended into trolling Jeez.

Unless Arsenal turn their 3-1 home defeat around against Bayern Munich that'll be no English teams in the last 8 of the Champions league

Sorry Nick, I'm afraid CB Fry's right on this one. Repeatedly posting "if the club had been liquidated" is pointless (we've had it 3 times so far) because the point people are making makes that irrelevant. This isn't us being in denial, it's the way football works these days. There's just too much money in it for normal insolvency rules to apply to football clubs in the PL/FL, and Pompey's situation in the last few years has been a perfect illustration of this. At the end of the day as Frank has already mentioned, the banks could have swapped debt for equity and taken control until a new buyer came in, knowing they'd have a far better chance of getting something back than if the club was wound up or another arrangement would have been made anyhow because EVENTUALLY we'd have found a credible buyer, and we did. Anyway we'll have to agree to disagree, because this is the PTS and we don't want to have to pay too much in editing fees once this thing gets made into a book

People said that 3 months after we signed Boruc (including me actually). Forren's only been here 6-7 weeks.
-
Not fit or match sharp? Remember how long it took to get Boruc somewhere near his best?
-
Then again we also "got our club back" when Michael Wilde came along

Lowe did do a good job in some ways, some people won't like to hear it but a significant amount of our infrastructure that attracted Markus to buy us was originally here because of Lowe. I think whilst there was method to it, a lot of fans turned against him because the money that we generated from selling our best players didn't all go back into the first team, and the majority of players that Lowe sanctioned for the first team at the time simply weren't good enough. He failed to kick the club on when we were originally in the PL and instead signed galacticos like Mark Draper. After WGS left it was clear to me that Lowe lost the plot completely and his legacy was ultimately culminated by the stupid decisions he made during the 2004-2006 period (Sturrock, Wigley, Woodward, Simon Clifford etc.) a legacy which he then made twice as bad by coming back, getting rid of Pearson and proceeding with the disastrous Dutch experiment. Some people say that Cortese is ultimately 'Lowe with money' but I totally disagree with this. Neither of them are afraid to upset people to ultimately achieve success for the club but unlike a significant part of Lowe's tenure, Cortese is the silent force behind the club's progress, his focus is only on the job in hand and he thus far appears to very much know what he's doing. (even though the jury is still out on MP) Lowe seemed to have this attention seeking streak which not only got the fans backs up but undermined his own position. I'm under no illusions that both Lowe and Cortese have massive egos but only one of them can keep it in check.

I was subjected to having to listen to One Direction in someone's car once. I think their talent is summed up perfectly in these lyrics, taken from one of their songs "over again" "Now she’s feeling so low since she went solo Hole in the middle of my heart like a polo" I really do despair for the future of the human race when this crap is not only liked by youngsters, but it wins Brit awards as well. People like Cowell may have spotted a gap in the market but they've totally destroyed the music industry.

QPR and Norwich are our next two games. Absolutely massive
-
It took a while to get Boruc fit and match sharp

Most important player signing of past 3.5 years?
JackFrost replied to Lallana's Left Peg's topic in The Saints
I don't think we paid anywhere near that upfront though
