  1. Shine on the Southampton University campus, next to the Jubilee sports centre. Does a decent mens wash and cut for around £15 - £17 (around that). Been going there for a while.
  2. Chesterfield are in League 1.
  3. The key here is the word could. We could bring them in but, realistically we aren't going to bring in all 3 of those players. Would we really want to anyway? Two of them maybe, but it's doubtful. I know this is an Adkin's cliche but we do have a settled squad of players who know each other well on a personal level and also know each others play styles well. Rickie even said so himself earlier in the season. I woul personally like to hold on to him for as long as we can and bring in just one new striker.
  4. You've started 3 new threads in half an hour. Either go open a window, or the put the bottle down. This place is such a waste of time, I'm going to watch the Arsenal game.
  5. I would give him another chance. I can see a lot of similarities with De Ridder at the moment, in terms of their football. Both of them have/had a tendency to try and do too much with the ball which usually ends with the ball being run out or a pass that's too long/short or a cross that's too high. They both have good pace but seem to not really know how to control it. I don't see the crowd getting on De Ridder's back as much as they did with Puncheon though. I just hope the same doesn't happen with Steeeeve.
  6. Heard this in Adkins post match interview after Crystal Palace.
  7. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/7399641/ Fulham interested.
  8. Come back when you've learned the players names.
  9. What's with the Brighton-esque songs? Does your bf know you're here? I don't get it.
  10. The guy from Pointless, not Alexander Armstrong but the guy behind the desk did say he was a Saints fan on the show.
  11. Unfortunately this is my last post available to me. It's sad, yet not unsurprising to see that people seem to have missed my point entirely. People don't appreciate the service we provide. I'm not saying that teaching is unique in that sense. I'm just merely saying that everyone thinks we've got it so easy when we really don't. Sorry if you can't see it from my perspective, and sorry if I can't see it from yours. I just feel like I need to stand up for the job I do when so many people think it's a piece of cake. Never mind. I'm going to concentrate on tonights game.
  12. Almost all of the criticism I have heard (and received) from parents is about the inconvenience caused to them. Yes, of course it is bad to disrupt a child's education. Even for a day. But it is frustrating when you receive criticism from parents of children in Year 3 (my year) who are working at a Year 1 level and below that it is disruptive when all evidence points to them having absolutely no interest in their child's education every other day of the year.
  13. I really don't sympathise with people who claim they will be severely inconvenienced by this strike due to having to look after their own children for a day OR, heaven forbid, organise for them to spend the day with family/friends or to go and play with their friends for the day. Being a teacher myself it is amazing to hear the ignorant comments that people spew about the job I work hard at everyday. And yes, I mean everyday. The first thing people always say is,"Oh the holidays are good!" They would eat those words if they did the job themselves. I am sat in my classroom at half past seven every morning and I don't leave until 5.30-6.00 every night (besides Tuesdays which is my PPA afternoon). I then take my work home with me and work there as well. Saturdays and Sundays disappear and if I try and keep them to myself I just regret it as I'm then not prepared for Monday. This continues throughout the holidays as I am getting everything ready for next term/half term. Now, I don't want to sound like I'm moaning. "Yeah yeah, we all work hard. I'm on the train to London at 6.00am every blah blah blah......" We all work hard and I'm not pretending that I know how hard your job is. But, that's the problems with teaching, people do genuinely think they know what my job entails. Everyone's been to school, it's a large part of everyone's lives and it seems that everyone then thinks they have a platform to form a opinion. In my, obviously biased, opinion it is a very under appreciated job. I agree with what a previous poster said. Parents bring their kids in an hour late (parents still in pyjamas). It is then my responsibility to ensure that that child achieves the same as the rest who have had an extra hours input. A near impossible task, and all those missed hours add up. It is seen as free day care to a lot of parents who seem to think that reading with their children for 15 minutes a day is too much to ask. I then miss my lunchtime to sorting out friendship problems and breaking up fights, sitting with children while they finish their work (and I explain it for the tenth time), attending meetings about the Christmas play plus making sure that my afternoon lesson is set up. So yeah, we spend our lives looking after your children, academically and emotionally. So please don't be 'outraged' when we think that it's a little rich being asked to do all of the above until we're 68, all the while being asked to pay in more to receive less.
  14. If it has it will be great. Love sell outs. Although on the flip side, it's another reason for Brighton to think we think of them as rivals.
  15. The worst part is, Poyet isn't actually saying that Suarez isn't racist. What he's really saying is that racism is ok. I suppose he thinks he can say this just because he was also a victim of it.
  16. Worst song we sing. Except maybe 'Let's all have a disco.' Just sounds boring.
  17. Saint

    Steeeeeeeeve!

It ruined the 2nd half for you? If it was that bad why didn't you leave? Because you're such a good supporter, but yet you get irritated by a chant. This is actually pathetic. "I've been witnessing my team playing out of their skins for the whole start of the season, yet, I just can't be doing with the chanting of a players name. It ruins the football experience for me." Because of this, and all the other moaners, I am going to go out of my way to do this at every opportunity. Hopefully I can weedle out some of the people who obviously don't enjoy football.
  18. Shut up. Just shut up. I come on here and the first thread title I read is this. Get a ****ing life. For the record I thought it was great. By far the worst songs are ' E I E I E I O'. We're not going up the football league, we're already at the top. It's a stupid Northern team song. I also stare at the ground anytime someone starts up 'Let's all have a disco' and you see a load of middle aged men doing a half arsed dance then pulling there XXL shirt back down over their stomachs.
  19. I was linked with him in Football Manager.
  20. Nope. I assume you're referring to "Adam Lallana *clap clap clap clap clap*" which I do hear every game and I would hardly call a song. I mean the Cristiano Ronaldo song "Viva Ronaldo" with the name changed to Lallana obviously. It sounds so good resonating around the stadium and can go and go forages. Some people suggested it on here over a year ago and it was popular, but never got off the ground.
  21. Lol. Umm...yes it was fixed. And yes it was her Dad, that's how they do it. Rightly so I think. I remember when they did the higher or lower shirt number competition and some middle aged bloke beating a 9 year old to a signed shirt. Pretty embarassing. If I was him I would have given it to the poor kid afterwards.
  22. I can confirm that music is definitely played after we score at St Mary's and that it is Song 2 by Blur. It sounds awful but you can barely hear it thank god. Also, I like what Arsenal do. Saying the first name and the crowd saying the second. It sounds great. I would like to do that. The mere fact that we can't even get the Lallana song off the ground doesn't give me too much hope of this ever happening though. I'm surprised the Lambert song ever caught on tbh.
  23. What a ridiculous unwritten rule if true. And anyway, what is Lallana supposed to do? Just give away possession? And anyway again, Lallana is an experienced pro IMO. Not like Stephen Carr but I would class him as closer to veteran or 'over the hill' maybe.
  24. .....woooaaaohh Corteesseee woooaaaohh He comes from Italy, he ****in hates pompey COOOOORRRRRTTEEESSEEEEE....
  25. Hat-rickie? That is awful, and not in a funny way. It's just crap.
