Chaplow is on a family holiday according to his Twitter. No indication that Chaplow is part of the deal. I would be amazed if we let him go to be honest.
-
Didnt Puncheon say in his ranting tweet which led to the kiss and make up with NC that the problem wasn't the manager but Cortese himself ? Now he is saying the opposite
-
aah yes, the old "lets make a coach a manager" game. Worked so well for us didnt it ?
-
there you go, raising my hopes

Stewart Ripley, Lee Todd, Steve Baker and David Puckett for me. Special mentions for Mark Hughes and David Lee (one of Brnafoot's master stroke signings)
-
Well Jos came straight in whilst Fox spent a while on the bench.

He is building a 5 bedroom house in Canford Cliffs, Poole which I have seen the plans of through my work. So he could well end up at Bournemouth. -
If there was anything in it he wouldn't have commented though would he ? As stated above he is one of the few midfield players we have who has PL experience, I would be amazed if he leaves.

Love the rumour about Tadanari Lee going to Barnsley on loan for 3 months -
I expect there is a clause which triggers a payment after X number of either sub appearences or Y number of starts for England. There is bound to be something as there were "add ons" in the deal. Bet Arsenal didnt expect the England one to come quite so soon :-)

Forgot them yeah they are another one, not just cos of that equaliser but also because of Adrian Heath's semi final winner at Highbury in 84.

Spurs cos of Redcrapp Man Utd cos of everything about them.

Add to that Vaz Te's comments about us in The Mail today and its "Come On Blackpool" for me. Arrogant bunch of East London yobbos

I dont follow, surely there could be a clause in the contracts they signed last year which stipulates a pay rise of X % upon reaching The Premiership, much the same as there is often a thing nowadays where there is a salary cut upon relegation. -
Very clever player, he played a major role in the flying start we had in The Championship and the run in we had in League 1 as some of his link play with Lambert and Lallana was superb, chipped in with goals too. That start ultimately led us to promotion so his role should not be under estimated, niether should his role at the end of the previous season where his goals helped us to the first promotion, Brighton away being a prime example. Such a shame about his injury record, although I guess if it wasn't for that he would never have played at Southampton for the past 3 years. Good luck David. Hope he finds a club cos he certainly still has the ability to do a job, albeit not for a whole season.

Not experienced a Charlie Wayman statement before have ya ? He's serious !!
-
It would but its not even a full game if it follows last years formula. It will be a 45 minute game and its over a month before the season kicks off. Prem teams seem to play each other in all these pre season tornaments they have in Asia etc.
-
or NO top flight experience anywhere....unless you count the Welsh Premier League of course.
-
If anyone seriously believes a club the size of Liverpool would go for a guy who has not even managed 1 minute of football in The Premiership is off their trolley. They will either go with a foreign manager from a top league or someone with Prem experience. You think Man Utd would appoint Brian McDermott ? Same thing.

Like Lambert came from Barcelona didnt he ? ffs.
-
Hope so, it worked well in the last 2 seasons

Oh I think Mr Cortese is a bit smarter than some of those that went before. I have no fear of past disasters coming back to haunt us while he is at the helm. -

The only one I would really disagree with him on is Chaplow to be honest. -
Congrats to him, done a hell of a job up there. He certainly started us on this journey, always remember him saying the players had forgotten how to win, looking at that first line up he had to pick I doubt if some of them had ever won to be honest. He gave them a winning mentality, bought in some great players to get us going and gave us a great day out, and win, at Wembley for which I will always applaud him on his return to Southampton. Just hope he goes away with nil point !
